LA - Southern California - Webmasters

I was thinking of getting out of Montreal for the winter and head out west for a while.

I was thinking LA or Southern California. I was wondering you anyone knew where an ideal place for me to live would be.

I do not need a big apartment, but I would need parking. I was wondering what an estimate would be for living costs ( Rent, Ect. )

I would like to live close to resturants and clubs. I like to eat out and do not like to cook !

I need a location that would be with in a resonable communte to porn studio's when my sister and her porno girlfriends come out to visit and shoot.

Where is a cool place to live ? I do not plan to stay forever......just somewhere to get away from the Montreal winters and see what the LA porn scene is all about !

I HIGHLY suggest the beach for the winter....much of the tourism is gone and the club scene is pretty cool. Malibu cuts right over to porn central. And of course you have the beach.

Manhattan Beach....Hermosa Beach......Redondo Beach......Venice Beach......Santa Monica

Ultimately.....Malibu is where you want to live BUT.....no nightlife

I lived in Redondo Beach - Hollywood - Studio City and N. Hollywood - I have to say if I ever go back to LA it has to be at the beach - Anyplace from Redondo Beach to Manhattan Beach -

This week I saw about a dozen for rent signs go up within a blockof the beach. Now that the summer is over its a good itme to find a place.

Hermosa is very easy living. Venice has a lot of culture. if your on a budget studio city is great but it gets hot there in the valley.

If your a total party animal you probably want west hollywood but thats populated by gays. But also has a lot of culture. theater, restuarants shops, bars ect

Depends on what your looking for LA is a big place. Orange county is you want more of a suberbia. Costa mesa has a great party scene. being by newport and huntington beach.

I love venice personally. IF I was coming from canada and probably wasnt up for the craziness of a big city I would do Hermosa on the strand. REally get the feel of beach life. Pretty easy there to get a few numbers.

Yeah for sure I think I would like being close to the beach. Even if it is cold ........ nothing compared to Montreal below freezing winters !

I need a short term lease, I guess furnished since I do not plan to stay for ever. For sure I need the club scene ( strip club that is ) I need resturants ( I hate to cook ).

I need a place I can walk out my door and shoot candids or at least use my camera.

I know for sure that once I am there everyone of my porn girlfriends are going to want to come down and shoot ! I don't mind driving for that !

You know I am going to visit J$ .......we are going to have to rip it up p.i.m.p. style !

Westside rentals is where I found my place so it is true they have the hook up.

This would be a perfect time to come and grab a place as all the summer leases are up.

Hermosa definately sounds like it is where you need to be. Over the weekend I saw a one bedroom month to month with private entry and balcony right on the strand walking distance to all the clubs rest etc.

Private balcony with beach in the background sounds like photoshoot to me....

Lots of trees, good restaurants, celeb spotting (hell come to my house! judd nelson was at our BBQ on labor day), unique apt's/houses (cool lofts everywhere)... overall the most convient, safest & decently priced place to live in the LA area, IMHO.
