In California, the Gov. has continually vetoed giving illegal immigrants driver's licenses. The cops urged him because of danger concerns. So the Gov. with common sense vetoes the thing and the hispanic community is angry and won't support the Gov for re-election.

Soooo they're trying again to get this bill passed and it passed so far but has some room to go.

Is it me, or does it sound incredibly stupid to grant a driver's license to someone who's not supposed to be here in the first place???

I don't agree with giving illegal immigrants ANYTHING except maybe food and lodging while they are being deported and aid for their children (it isn't the kids' faults). Our government has a major budget deficit and our cities are so crowded the street are already unsafe from the massive amounts of cars on the roads. We honestly CAN'T afford to give them anything. If I came here for another country I would at least have the decency to attain legal citizenship and pay taxes to support the system that was providing me a better way of life.

I don't agree with keeping anyone out that wants in (as long as they get here legally and intend to become citizens). I know life can be miserable in other countries and I feel terrible for people who don't get to share in our way of life, but overcrowding is starting to make life harder here, too.

Not a good situation for anyone involved.

i came from a town that had a lot of apple orchards in washington and we had tons of illegals. they used to kill each other out in the orchards all the time, but youd be amazed at hte legions of them fuckers that would show up in town just as the first crops started coming off(cherries) and stick around and pick every kind of fruit we had till the last ones(pears) and then they would deposit the money into bank of america and call immigration on themselvs and get a free ride back home to see family.

i was in jail with a guy that got deported and he said straight up "ill be back in 3 days" and this is in washington. they have US bank accounts that they use to buy thier way back up here.

so now not only do we have the problem of them coming here, but they cost us money to ship back, and they take our funds back home, AND they even have american bank accounts which is supposed to be illegal in the first place as well.
