I've lost two acquaintance in the past month on motorcycyles. Everyone that I know but my girl and I have been in some sort of crash or laydown.

I'm thinking that it's almost time to hang up the helmet and take the bike off of the road. Speed kills, but so do other drivers who aren't looking out for bikes.

Sorry to hear this man. Death sucks, and it's even worse when the young are taken.

My deepest condolences. Seems fucked up that one day they're here and then permanently removed. The important thing to do is remember them. Madd Russian died in a car accident last year, one of my best friends, was a partner in PornPays.com. Every once in a while I'll talk about him. "Bruce would have loved this, or Bruce would be kicking everyone's ass in Madden 2004 if he was around, etc" . People never die if you keep talking about them and remember them. I get a good feeling when I pay tribute to him, like he's listening or around.

I feel for you and his family & all of his friends.

Got Caught Speeding
Well today I got a nice little ticket while speeding. I clocked at 50 in a 35. WOO HOO 4 points and $160. How am I so lucky you may ask. Well I was stupid enough to go and speed. Cop was cool though, told me about he had people yelling at him all day. He even thanked me for being professional. I guess its all good that I was laughing when he pulled me over. Not seconds before I had the thought: "You know its almost that time of year that I get a speeding ticket". then boom, pulled over with a piece of thin paper.

I still think its funny. Oh well, time to slow down again

weblog - like an online journal

that was in his car he had a VW 1.8t.

sean was honestly a very conservative and cautious driver. the details of the accident are kind of fishy to us because it happened around 6.3o-7.oo pm on highway 24 - it's a mountain road that goes up to woodland park and it's basically the most high traffic way to get in the mountains.

we pray he didn't get run off the road or something but even if there was a lot of traffic from people coming back from camping or coming back from cripple creek (legalized gambling there) from the holiday weekend. it's almost a given that someone saw it and just didn't get involved.

There is nothing to say to make the pain go away. Just keep the good thoughts in your heart. I lost two of my best friends this year. No motorcycles were involved, but the loss is the same. I was lucky to have been in touch with both of my friends a short time before they died. They knew I loved them.

Though I love motorcycles, I will not ride one in the Los Angeles area. I have had too many friends seriously injured because so many car drivers have no respect for those on bikes. The danger level is just too high.

A life perspective shift came for me in a previous life when I rode ambulances on a regular basis....life & the quickness that death can come is truly humbling...

Damn, the speech from Final Destination (the first one) really made me think. It's generally true that when we think of death, we tend to think into the future... maybe 40, 50, 60 years from now. Or we may not think of it at all.

Just look at the guys blog. A few days ago he made a few light hearted comments about getting a speeding ticket, and ten minutes after uploading, he'd probably forgotten the whole thing.

We rarely step back and realize that death could be less than a week away... today... or in under 2 minutes from now.

im sorry Bryce to hear that.

traffic deaths are hard to deal with. The first GF i ever had was killed in a car crash. Her bf at the time jus got his license and thought it was cool to speed and race some kids in the rain. A fork came up in the road and he made the left too quick, spun the car a few times and smashed into a telephone pole. The driver and this other girl in the car (who was thrown from it and broke her leg) survived. My ex-gf was trapped in the car and from what i 'heard', she was still alive... until the transformer on top of the telephone pole fell on her and the car.

fucked up shit.

people... driving is fun but its no joke. Slow down. And if you aint a speeder, great, you can still get fucked. Always watch the side streets when lights go green cuz you never know who might be trying to beat the red light. Me my wifey and our infant daughter at the time almost died that way from some crazy fuck. literally microinches was between my car and this fags when he ran the light and flew right in front of my shit at like 50.
