if you had $25,000 this very second what would you do?

would you look for a certain type of site to buy? so you could make recurring money off that?

would you buy a lot of traffic and send it somewhere?

i'm not talking about fun shit you'd buy, i'm looking at it more from an investment angle. $25k cash right now could wind up giving you at least $3k a month recurring hopefully - and that's the low ball figure i'd like to be hitting.

what type(s) of sites would you look for? paysites, groups of tgps...

with $25k up front investment how much maintenance work would be required to be hitting *at least* $3k/month recurring?

Get my girl a nice big fat diamond...that's about all I could do to keep her from walking out the door at this point

That would be one hell of an investment for me.

nah - if i was lookin to put $25 down and make $50 back... yeah i'd try something risky like that.

i'd be happy to put the $25k down and guarantee $3k/month with growth potential.

Last December I had over 60,000 dollars in spare cash.

What did I do with it?
-bought a new car
-paid my taxes
-got a bigger apartment
-invested a lot on tuition for college (I'm going back full time soon)
-took a couple visits to an upscale strip club, spent several thousand
-bought a shitload of things on eBay
-went on several shopping sprees, mostly buying video games, and other things like that

Now I have less than 10 thousand dollars, and I'm working 30 hours a week, and I'm begging my parents for money now.

Sucks, but I'm only 22

hey i tried others dude.

i was unaware they had a bad rep. their CPM is amazing and the only way i could make it worthwhile.

anyway that portion of the site is sold so that popup won't exist soon.

"i'm only doing it for the cash," obviously. i hate popups too.

you could help me and i wouldn't feel the need to try to get something off the thousands of anonymous leeching users

what kind of "sites" to make more of though?

just spend a few k to get content, another k for design, etc?

25k can get you a college degree, and that will guarantee you 3k a month with growth potential.

But as far as a secure investment in the adult industry... well I'll let you figure this one out for yourself.

Anyways, for only a couple thousand dollars, you can take Tom Hopkins sales training seminar. If you become a good salesman, 3k a month is easy.

i dropped out of college on purpose - i have a job that pays me $3k/month already.

the deal is, i don't want to be working for someone else. so a college degree will basicaly just delay that same deal - working for someone else and making the $3k/month there. no thanks.

Newbies with money.....*sigh*

Doesn't matter if you have 100K, if you have to ask on a messageboard where you should invest it in this biz, you're probably not going to be very successful with whatever you buy with that money.

Not much.. I don't really have much in the line of debt except a bit on the credit cards I'm keeping there to build more credit... I'd probably to back to work and sock it in the bank, but I'd buy the kids a toy each first :P

i'm a born again newbie though.

i was doing search engine work back around 1998. i just haven't really set my foot back in the "industry" since.

is there a problem asking industry "professionals" what they'd do if they had the same opportunity? i think that is a good idea, newbie or not. if you get some halfway decent answers, you can see what people's minds are thinking about nowadays. or someone might have something you haven't thought about or didn't even know was a growth opportunity.

okay sorry about that. i rebooted my browser and i'm all better now.

in my opinion as someone who's made a lot of money on porn, popups, popunders, exit browsers, entrance browsers, etc etc etc are a bad thing. they fuckin annoy every single visitor and the only one that doesn't know that they annoy every single visitor are broke webmasters out to annoy their visitors.

okay maybe they're not intentionally trying too annoy visitors but they do it. now how can you get a sale if you piss off your visitor?

if you want to make money on the net you have to make them feel better, not give them 10 popups to close so they can see your fucking website.

now on to you. if that xmike thing is your website, you got some work to do. namely, you need to get more pics into your site. your homepage has zero images. all text and a lot of it. if i was hunting for images i wouldn't have stayed.

i finally went into the rating area and found out you had 9 images in there. at the very least you could steal some images off the net to populate that area. you say its for sale. who's going to buy it if its #1 empty and #2 has no visitors.

figure those two things out and you'll attract a buyer...

I'm sorry to say this Mike, but 25k isn't that much money.

A couple of years back that may have been possible, but I'm sure that most of the people on this board don't know, or won't share such money making strategies.

I'm going to say that you should take that money and invest it into a college degree. There's no such thing as easy money.

If you're looking for quick money, try sales. I know sales agents without degrees that make lots of $$$, but it's very hard work.

Anyways, we all want to work for ourselves, and in fact, many of us don't want to work at all, but that's the only way to make $$$.

xmike is not an adult site - it's not up for discussion here. i really should take that off my gfy profile. the rating area has sold already anyway.

i'm not really looking at "sales" from visitors on that site either, hence the popups. the anonymous people don't give me anything so i might as well force a few cents out of them for now.

normally my sites are clean and have no popups or anything. the past couple months is the only time i've added anything in.

anyway back to the adult industry... that's my focus here.

i understand $25k is not a lot (especially on a board like this)

i'm not looking to REPLACE my job with another job.

i'm looking to work for myself, to establish recurring income off internet projects; NOT do some salesman job, or continue working for some fortune 500 company dealing with idiots all day.

25k eh?
Ok lets see..

A single girl site
Live Cam
lots of advertisment
own merchant account setup
than hammer the shit out of tgp's and webmasters and offer them $$ to push traffic my way

Take a hit for about 3 month, than cash in on the recurring.

agreed. I am in the same boat as you pal, if you are looking for a partner in crime let me know

selling bandwidth in this market sucks, and is not easy or for the faint hearted...

funny you should say that. i'm always mentioning to girls i know online about making their own sites. a couple of them could make it big - but again, i'd be helping them. i'd get hosting money and maybe a % if i kept up maintenance for them. i don't think it would bring in enough money though to make it worth my while, and it is a lot of support for some of them who know nothing about web technologies (none of them are local either which would make it a little easier to work with them in general.)

I dont think single girl amatuer sites can make the big bucks without a lot of money thrown at them.

A reality site can be had (if you shoot it yourself) for 5-10k, I think that it would be a better investment.

If anyone finds the "guaranteed" way to invest and get back profit, be sure to hit me up.

I've got a big land bridge to sell you...

If I had $25k to blow right now I'd be putting it down on real estate.
They're making more people every day, but they're not making more land.
