Is there any benefit in offering a 3 day trial over just offering a monthly membership, if so what?

Cheap people will take the trial, and a few will rebill.
Do not use the very low trial. I use 8.85 for 3 days ( 3.00 a day ) then 19.99 a month. Otherwise, people will not signup for the month .I know that Asspimple is stoopid ... As he says, it is a FACT !
But I can't figure out how he can breathe or type , at the same time .... -
Of course, you'll get better conversions with cheap 3 day trials. Better conversions doesnt necessarily mean more money though.Originally posted by adrenalinedef

Why not try both?
Have your normal sign up page offer monthly recurring and non recurring -
If the surfer is looking to pay less - He will close the window - Then pop another window offering a 3 day trial -
Best of both and really works very well.<p><embed width="120" height="60" src="http://www.harlotcash.com/harlot_3.swf"><br>

Only having a monthly signup option will increase your average retention.
Offering trials will bring in a lot more signups.
99% of the time you will make more money with trials, even though your average retention will be much lower.sig too bigComment

No, oddly enough its based on transaction count.Originally posted by angelsofporn

That's why alot of "free trial" programs are switching to $1 trials....to increase the transaction count.
If it was based on the dollar amount then doing $1 trials instead of free really wouldn't help.

Not really, Sleazy. Our non trial tours close at rates comparable to anyones - The aditional trials are a real bonus- We have been doing this for a few weeks now and it works very well.cause popups are for people who DON'T have a good enough closing pitch the first time........
Having said that - We do work mostly in niche stuff - But out of almost 20 sites, only two currently sign up at over 1-200. All the rest are below that - Some, by a long way.<p><embed width="120" height="60" src="http://www.harlotcash.com/harlot_3.swf"><br>
