				New Digital Camera
Just got my new digital camera the other day. Still learning how to use it tho. It's a Canon 10D and I got a 28-200mm 1:3.5-5.6 lens to start with. Many more to come I'm sure Here's some sample shots (keep in mind I know shit about photography and am just starting to learn)... These are all shrunk to 800x600: Here is the first flower one in the original size (1.8meg): http://www.johnvalbright.com/photos/flower1_full.jpg |

				 | The pictures you posted do NOT do the originals any justice, I compressed your original image to 800*600 using "xat" and the reduced image is still crystal clear. Download it here for free I'm sure you will be pleased with the results http://xat.com/image_optimizer/image_optimizer.shtml Hope ya have plenty of fun with your new camera

But I still recommend you download the xat yourself and give it a go, it always gets an extremely high rating from webmasters when discussing compression and its so damd easy to use. try compressing and reducing the size of an image with text in it and see how clearly you can still read the text compared to other image manipulation software. Only about a 1mb install and it won't interfere with any other software (I'm VERY fussy about what I install)

				 | GoGoBar I just resized the original image and compared it with the one you posted and they both look identical. What I did was compare my image in ACDsee with the image in my web browser, the web browser does not display the image with as much clarity as ACDsee. Please ignore me I'm stupid

				 | I got the same camera earlier this summer, and I just love it. Fantastic image quality. Shooting with it has been a joy. Here are some pics I took with mine recently... ...and one to show a bit more resolution. (But nowhere near all of it.) I had to re-size pics from this camera down to 25% to use them as desktop wallpapers.

				 | Nice pics! I have a Canon (Ixus 3) and I love it. Sometimes the pics can be a little blurred though. Sometimes I don't have the time to set it correctly before taking a picture, or I'm unsure of which settings to use. Choosing the correct settings can be pretty difficult sometimes without having to shoot the same picture 10+ times (which isn't always an option). Check out sharpen and adjust color filters in Fireworks, I always use them. It's a fantastic tool.... original on the left, adjusted pic on the right. Took less than 4 seconds. <img src="http://www.hotlinkpro.com/gogobar.jpg"> |
