Are they fresh contacts?

You should go talk to your eye doctor man - you could have a serious problem. Something about your contacts is irritating your eyes and continueing to wear them might not be good. Your eyes are trying to tell you something by turning red - you should listen.

Take them out and wear your glasses until you get see the eye doctor.

Good luck,

I don't know how it's called in Eglish, but I changed "cleaning fluid" and the problem was gone.

I had to do that a few times when I first started wearing contacts - many years ago. I was allergic to a preservative that was found in some solutions.

That might be a good solution but seeing the eye doctor would be the best solution I think. Better safe than sorry ....

You using daily disposable contact lenses? Those are the best. Putting lenses in your eyes for a week at a time, sleeping with them or using the same lenses over and over for months no matter how much you clean them are just not good for your eyes. AcuVue makes some great disposable lenses.

i dont know what the hell is wrong
theyre fresh contacts, ive used tons of different cleaning solutions, i give ample time for contacts to cleanse themselves..

visine helps very little, first it doesnt get rid of all the red, it just gets lighter but its still visible, and within 30 mins its back again

ive been wearing contacts for a year now, this problem comes and goes but now its not going away

my eyes have never been pure white in a long time, even when i wake up theres still red in em (after 8-9 hours of sleep)

wtf is wrong?

Hey Mike

That was happening to a friend of mine, he has worn contacts for a long time, and it just started happening out of nowhere and wouldn't go away.

He had to stop wearing contacts and went to the eye doctors and got glasses and a new pair of contacts, he didn't wear the contacts for awhile and now only wears them when he goes out, but during the day at the computer and during his daily routine he wears his glasses he can't wear contacts all the time anymore, and no visine it's bad for your eyes.

If your eyes have been slowly getting redder, you might want to check out other sources. It might not be related to your contacts. When my eyes got more red recently, it turned out my BP and cholesterol were creeping up. After addressing the problem, they became less red. Dehydration is another culprit.

I would not recommend Visine if you wear contacts first off.

Your eyes are being irritated most likely by one of the solutions, or something in your house or workplace.

You should see an eye doctor and an allergist.
