:mad Fucking Seattle Mariners! PK what's happening?

PK, whats happening to our Mariners?
Unreal.

I just picked up some tickets for Sunday's day game. Not as close to the Diamond Club as last time but Ill be within shouting distance of ya, Section 125 Row 15.

Paid a bit too much for em $147.00 but fuck it.
I needed to be close to the batters box to rattle the mariners up a bit.

Maybe i can get it on film.

Yeah they seem to be loosing to everyone they are playing as of late. But the Devil Rays, that really puts icing on the cake.

Shit is history repeating itself?
Again and again, and now again?

September is not a good time for the Mariners past couple years.

Could this be the case again?

ANyhow Im going up there to shake em up a little.

Come have a boneprone spotting in section 125 if you're a Mariner fan and will be there this weekend.

Still no response from The Mariner Kitty herself to reply as to whats goin on here with the mariners.

PK must be in Thearpy. These losses must have really shaken her up.

Bone,

well the Governor said he would sign the baseball stadium deal, but rumor has it that we still might not get the team, probably going to the DC area.

But, what they were talking about last night is, the A's could possibly move here.

They need a new stadium, and Oakland and Cal. won't do it.

we shall see

Also, another reason is they are having support losses as the Giants are right there too

Maybe all that talent they keep losing--A Rod, Griffey, Big Unit--is finally catching up with them. And besides, I hate that little fuckwad Brett Boone. He needs to get drilled right in the ear hole the next time up when he flips that bat after a homer.

Craig,

we lost all of those and still won the division. 116 games speaks for itself

mariners have a good team, but lately Sept isn't good.

Boone is great and is a good team player. He just is young and likes to show off sometimes. But def. Golden Glove and a stable hitter, runs, rbi's, etc

Damn this isnt good. I was hoping for more probable rumors.
IT sucks hearing that chances are we will still get nothing.

I wasnt a team here soooo bad. The Blazers are just tooo heartbreaking, and the Mariners will always be my team away from home, but Id love to have our own here in Portland.

More than anything I want a baseball team. Id get season tickets for sure. What a great environment to raise kids in. A city with a baseball team. We plan to have kids in the next year or so, and nothing would be better than to take them to games regularly if we had one.

Crossing the fingers.

My Ms are always my Ms good or bad..

There's just been no offense lately to back up the bullpen. Edger's had problems, so has Cammie and Boone just isn't running on all cylinders.

I fully believe what Buhner said in a recent interview.. that they've lost their first inning edge right now. It's that edge that normally sets the tone for the game.

And then there's the starting pitchers.. none of them but Freddy (and he sucks even so) can go more than 5 or 6 innings, leaving the bullpen to take up the slack. And that's a bullpen that's been without it's major closer for several months.

Section 125 row 15.. you'll be above the Ms dugout about 10 rows or so.

No love loss for Grifffey.

Randy Johnson was great putting the M's on the map. Still a great player, one of the best. Do we miss him or really need em? Sure.. But not as much as we miss A-Rod.

I think the biggest loss was A-Rod or an additional power hitter.

Hell even David Bell would be nice to fill the gap.

Jeff Nelson was right. We should have made some deals before the deadline. What do they do? Send em to the Yankees.

WTF?

Just one power hitter would have been nice.
Ray Sanchez has been the only unexpected pleasure.

Still it would of been nice to have a Ruben still on the bench or some other older Veteran player who has power just to have in your stash.

Something is really missing in the lineup and now its showing.

Who would want ARod when he's the whole team. If they'd of tried to keep him, they wouldn't have half the decent players they do now. Look at what it's done to Texas.

As for Junior.. he's not had a good year since he went to the Reds...healthy or not. He doesn't stay loose or warm up properly and it's done nothing but let to problems.

And then there's Randy.. one pitcher in a 5 starter rotation doesn't make or break a team.

Damm I wish I had some tickets

me and the family are leaving for Bellevue in a little bit.

I miss A-Rod too, but don't think about it ever. He deserved the money he got, can't fault him for it.

Freddy, I am surprised

Well tickets are VERY EASY.
Buy em from the scalpers. They could get you these same tickets I just paid 147.00 for a pair for 100.00 even.

There are tons of tickets to choose from in the Scalper areas as you walk into the ballpark. In fact that was the route we were gunna take but my broker fetched these up and I didnt want to seem cheap and said hell with it an bought em. 38.00 list price Box tickets for 147.00 a pair. SHIT!!!

ANyhow 9 times out of 10 when the wife and i go to a game with no tickets we pay 50 bucks a pop and get kick ass seats by the diamond club behind the plate. We did this when we saw the SF Giants play last year too, and playoff games as well.

Its a good market out there in scalper land 60-30 minutes before a game. You will always find what you are looking for.

Well I dont know what ya look like, but im assuming you've seen some of my pics here at GFY. If ya see me and the wife running around downtown as well be sure to say hello. Was hoping to say hello at the game to ya but it seems everytime we make it to one it happens to be one you pass up on.

Day games are great this time of year! Looking forward to it!

Having Randy for the last half of the Season would have been nice though. LOL.

Werent there any good pitchers that were at the end of a contract this year that we could have picked up on to make the last stretch run with?

Normally its a great time to pick up those great players on shitty teams to run the last few months with casuse it helps the team and increases the stock value of the player by joining a contending team.

I remeber last year Kenny Lofton to SF helped em a lot there at the end. Teams do it a lot.

Nelson leaving was sort of an example of this, us being on the other end.

Trading Jeff Nelson for Armando Benitez was seriously stupid. I don't care if Nelson called the GM a drag queen, it made the team worse.

They should have made a trade to get better, but Gillick always sits on his hands at the deadline.
Seattle is fine the first half of the year, they're right in the hunt. But then the teams they're racing against all made trades to get better, and the M's stand pat, so in effect they get worse compared to the teams they're competing with.

And Ichiro has been slumping pretty bad lately. He really makes their offense go.

lol the Montreal Expos are playing great baseball here at this time.. There's still good chances that they make the playoffs.

And Seattle there's big chances and they don't go in the playoffs

Yeah it would have been nice to keep Nelson for the stretch. But they knew they wouldnt be able to keep him the next year so they dealt em for something else.

The fact that they said trading him had nothing to do with his outlash is pretty damn funny. Yeah right.

This is gonna be a good weekend for baseball
In the end it doesnt matter..
The Sox are a cursed team

B.P. keep the faith!!

I'm a Mariners season ticket holder (not diamond club).

The M's have sucked big time the last few weeks, but I remain optimistic they will get in turned around. But they sure are not showing many signs of pulling their heads out of their ass.

I had a feeling that Tampa Bay would be tough cause they have been playing well lately and Lou knows all the M's hitters like the back of his hand.

Let's hope they kick the shit out of Baltimore this weekend!

Go M's!!!

1) The D-Rays have the best record in baseball since the break. So don't feel so bad.

2) More Ms fans cool!!!!! I got the baseball package on my IO TV and I watch them or the Bosox here. Ichiro ees number 1

3) My good buddy from Original Bucks lives in Seattle and he pointed out that Seattle does more travelling than any other team (miles wise) and maybe that wears them down. It's an interesting point.

I don't buy that one. 6 team have never even been to the series. What about the cubs? They haven't been in longer than the Red Sox. There is no curse unless you consider the attitude of the fans having an effect. Every time I go to Boston I witness the "what could go wrong?" attitude when they are winning. In NY, fans are behind and they wonder "what could go right?"

I know it sounds all new agey and weirdo, but I think the energy of the fans makes a difference.
