Nikon D1x Owners...

Have you ever had this problem?

Yesterday I'm shooting a girl, and the camera starts showing an "Err" message up where the F-Stop and Shutter speed are usually displayed.

The camera is on, but I can't see through the lens (and NO I didn't leave the lens cover on).

No photos can be snapped!

I had to use my D1 that I keep as a back up.

Anyone else experience this? If so, what was the problem?

Tried that. Didn't work.

Finally figured it out, though.... after 3 years using my favorite lens it has finally given up the ghost. Poor thing captured more than 500,000 images.

Don't throw it away just yet.

I have seen that same error before. The camera had gotten bumped to a different setting that it was usually not used on and the apature was simply not set right so the camera gave an error.
