So I'm starting my first year of university soon, and I was looking around for calendar software.

Preferably it would be something with a calendar (no shit), daily reminders, memos and whatever else would help. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about.

Can anyone recommend a good program of this sort?

man, fuck all that.

sods law says that just about every piece of calendar software out there will be missing some essential function that you won't notice isn't there until you really need it.

your best friends?

1. a watch
2. a piece of paper & pencil blu-tacked to the back of your door. make notes here.
3. a pc with notepad

that is all you need!

Hmm...that back-of-the-door thing sounds like a good idea. I'm assuming you put it there so you notice it whenever you try to leave?

in college, a white-board was my best friend. still is. go to HomeDepot and get a sheet of bathroom laminate. theres a certain one that is white. comes in 4x8 sheets, and is basically the exact same thing as white board. nail that bitch to the wall and u have a huge place to get organized & doodle.

well, although they say "don't mix business with pleasure", i also have papers tacked to the side of my bed...

at first i started off tacking notes to the back of the door because i couldn't lose them, and every time i walk out the door and glance at those notes... i'm not reminded that i need to send someone a check, or make an ebay bid... i'm simply reminded that certain shit needs to be taken care of. so i'd better read it twice a day, or else i'll miss something.

recently i started writing everything down and tacking it to the back of the door. don't write it down? i'll forget. write it in text file? the hard drive will fuck up. typical.

paper and pencil is the ultimate solution.
