Yes, thats realy suck.

I never sign up on those stupid content sellers, I just hate to know that I don't going to remember my username or password
to the next time, and what about all the spam they are sending.

As for the money we make by having the sign up process. Look at those with the process and those with out, then tell us which ones are making the most money.

Why you need to register. Your time is valuable and it will save you time. How?

Most webmasters say getting new content is very important, it is as important to get the right content. When you sign up you get put on a mailing list.

This enables you to get emails with the latest additions and special offers. You get a picture of the set, so you can judge for yourself whether it is suitable for your sites, whether the price fits your budget. All deleivered to your screen.

By not registering you havetrawl around looking for the new sets, the ones that fit your sites and your budget then that is up to you. Most webmasters I know would rather spend that time building the sites, designing them or driving traffic.

Then why don't you just create a form to sign-up for the mailing list. We need an entire database to store all the URL's, usernames and passwords. Maintaining that databese is a waist of time. Sometimes I forget to update it. I come to your site and think "Shit, I forgot the password" -> Bye! Next broker.

Well everyone have different reasons.
For us we have one very very good one "as everyone else"
Our license is online and part of your account and domain management system which also lets you edit and maintain your license domain list on the fly.

You dont need to sign anything thats right.
There for we need you to have an account.

If you just want a look before signing up you have that option as well with an anonumous login.

How about using the same username and pass for all the content stores?

You guys are making to much out of this.

Question is......
How much are YOU loosing by only using the "easy access" providers ?

My bet is A LOT

It is up to you guys ! ( content providers )

It seems like there are many webmasters (including me) that DO NOT like to register. When I want to shop for content, I want to do it now.. Not after a verification of my URL and personnal datas that will take 3-48 hours !

When I see a register form, I just switch to another content provider.
As simple as this. And I buy around 1000$ - 2000$/ month.

You can keep telling us all your good reasons. I will still not buy your content. And I'm surely not the only one.

Now, are you sure your good reasons are THAT good ?

Edit: if you buy that much content "which i personally doubt" you are throwing money out the window as im fairly sure your to lazy to send in the signed contract which meens you are using unlicensed content (so why not just steel it) ?

I don't care if you beleive me or not.
And, you are absolutely right, I don't sign any contract: It is a waiste of time. I have the receipt that I have bought the content.

I have been buying from web legal since 6 years now... Never had to sign anything and I never had any kind of problems.

Stealing ? Please... I know the business and I respect copyrighted materiel. Would you honestly prefer that I steal your content or that I buy it and don't sign your contract ?

So no license i take it.

Again see my first post, we dont ask you to sign anything.
You will be prompted for domain info while checking out.

But if we did require you to sign a license then yes i would cancel your purchase/License and you would not be able to use the content as we would not know where you would be using it nor if you aggree to our terms.

Be professional and do it right

Now this is total BS and is worth my time to reply.

Loch has VERY valid points and seems to run a good business. If you do not like to register then feel free to go elsewhere. Fine by me and I know Loch feels the same himself.

Without going into details...I had a shitload of problems from asshole webmasters AND surfers prior to putting my registration system on my site. Those problems are 100% gone now. I intend to mail my list once or twice a year...max...And my registration is instant. No waiting period.

Quit crying and work together. Cry babies can take their chump change and stick it up their ass. The majority of my sales dollars come from exclusive shoot deals that I make in person anyway so who really gives a fuck if I lose 10 grand or so a month from cry babies?

You guys all seem to think that your dollars will make or break the content providers when in reality, doing business with some of you can be far more harmfull to us than not doing business with you in the first place.

I may be highly unprofessionnal, but I'm still making a good living of my business.

As for the URL where I would publish your content: every content provider I use ask me my URL when I purchase the content nothing required before.

But you do your business as you wish... This thread is only to point out that you guys are probably loosing money by asking us to register before seing your content.

I don't mind registering to get into a content site. What I do mind is having to worry about some broker coming back a year later asking about a license I forgot to fill out and demanding that I take down sets or whatever. Fuck that. I understand why they want the licenses and on the whole I have no problem with it but if a guy is going to be a dickhead about it, I'll buy elsewhere.

I have contacted many people when I have found my content on their domains and had no license for it. Some of them were legit clients and they quickly corrected the situation by sending in their license and others were using stolen content and were handled in appropriately. The fact is, from time to time, EVERYBODY can overlook details and forget something like sending in a license....Myself included.

You know Aaron, if this thread is not worth your reply, why do you read it ? To your eyes, we are probably all stupid bastards aren't we ?

Why are you waisting your precious time with us ?

Being gross and playing hot shot doesn't necessary mean that your sayings are right.

If you want to argue, why don't you do it respecfully ? Talking like you do doesn't impress anybody but you.

Being gross? Playing hot shot? LOL

Whatever. I replied to twistyneck...Nobody else.

I don't care if you think my "sayings are right."

I don't care who is or is not impressed by what I have to say.

I don't care because you mean NOTHING to me in the long run. This is a message board. Get it?

Now...Kindly get over yourself.

The best thing is to have both of them

You can come to my site without registration, look at the content, buy the content you want, then you have instant download links in your email and also instant license.

AND you can also decide to register, so by this way in your account there will be a record of all your orders, download links and license. So you can donwload the content again if something bad happens like a HD crash... Also, it'll be faster to buy the content, because all the info (name, address...) will be already registred so you'll just need to put CC# exp date and that's it

I really thing that's the best way. For those who prefer to not register, that's fine for them. They can come and buy the content instantly; no need to fill out a regisration form.
For those who prefer to keep a track of their orders and to avoid filling in name and address in the check out form, well, they can register

I hope it helps.

Cheers!

Cheers!

Finally !

Brilliant !

You understood that there are many way to operate a business and make everyone happy. Maybe are there some "porn kings " here that should open their mind a bit wider and take example on you.

A board should be to share our toughts and improove our business by listening to what other has to say.

But some prefer to play hot shot and inslut people that doesn't think like them.... Sad...

If you are goin to attack me with your hot shot comments, at least back them up with facts. If you are insulted that I called people cry babies then perhaps you should stop crying like a baby.

"A board should be to share our toughts and improove our business by listening to what other has to say."

Apparently this advice is not intended for yourself but only for others.

Can you say "Hypocrite?"

Now, are you sure your good reasons are THAT good ?

when you sign up with www.sexiercontent.com you are sent a pass with in 3 mins, tops, depending on your isp and your internect connection... lol

everytime I ask someone to su, they get a pass in less then one minutes.

You can call me whatever you want, Aaron, if it pleases you.
The way you argue only prooves me that you are narrow minded.

Maybe you want to have the last word on this discussion because you don't want to loose face in front of all your friends here ?

You have it.. I will not reply to whatever you will say.

Why must people talk out their ass like this? Aaron has not argued. You gave your input and he gave his. Then you attacked him for it.

Grow up. This is an adult message board.

Even the idiot Dank gets it this time.

For the record....Adding the registration to my site does not appear to have made any difference in sales. What it has done is decreased/eliminated other problems.

You are absolutely right, he did not argue. He sadly tried to by making fun of others.

Please, before trying to be interressting, read carefully, many times if neccessary, until you will have completely understood what was written. Then, you will maybe realized that your friend made a fool of himself by trying to insult all the crying babies who posted here.

Good point...

You probably have an automated script, but many sites don't ! And when webmasters will see your registration form, they will not know how long it will take to get a pass to see your content.

Anyway, the thing is: Now that you are aware that some ( many ? ) webmasters doesn't like to register to see content, maybe you should give a try and get rid of this form for a couple of months... Maybe you will see a difference ?

Well, he does have a point...almost.....

There are a lot of cry babies who post here. I am not trying to insult them though, only pointing out that they are cry babies.

He is just another fake personality, just like several others who have posted to this thread.

From my content site: "Please register below with your email address and your chosen password. You will recieve a confirmation code via email within a few minutes."

If they are unable to read...as more than half are....then I do not need their business. More than 50% of the people who register for my site have their accounts terminated the same day they register. And as I said before...My sales do not appear to have been affected by my change in practices.
