I remember when Lars first started doing that though...he looked for established webmasters that would give him POSITIVE exposure, and paid them good money. I saw alot of offers come his way from people saying they'd use sig and make a minimum number of posts a day...but he turned them down, because really that'd be worthless :) Seems to be something that swoit just doesn't understand...

Seems most of you are missing the point: There is no such thing as bad publicity.

Example, despite the fact about 99% of the comments related to Swoit on this board are negative, they have given their name/brand market awareness quite well.

If someone mentions Swoit now you will recognize it. Before the sig thing, I bet hardly anyone did.

While the downside to them is people that bash them won't promote for them, there are others who will who wouldn't of previously because they never heard of them =)
