How to redirect traffic

I want to redirect ALL the traffic from one domain to another.
I used a single line in a .htaccess file "redirect / http://somedomain.com"

The problem is that the domain I'm sending traffic to isn't counting all the hits?

Do I need to add something else to the .htaccess file so that it gets credited
for the hits I'm sending to the other domain

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sending around 300 hits an hour from this domain and its being picked up by the other domains stats as hits but its almost as if they are bookmarkers, the traffic has no referrer?

How do I fix this so the domain gets credit for the traffic

well making sure you own http://www.somedomain.com is always a good start

I wish I did

Whoever owns it is a fruitcake it will get shitloads of traffic from people like me asking questions about domains and such but they don't redirect their 404 traffic!!!!

is wasted (they can give it all to me)
