best 80's movie?

Yesterday I spent the day, along with a few friends, at an all day 80's movie fest at the 1.50 movie 'art' house in London. We watched, Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club, Ferris and St. Elmo's Fire. We are massive John Hughes fans so we loved it.

What is everyone's fave 80's movie?

Ever notice how all 80's movies were so cheesy but so awesome at the same time. I just can't resist them myself. Here are some that I like till this day.

Stand By Me
Top Gun (not cheesy but still good)
My Stepmother's an Alien
Friday the 13th movies
Halloween movies
Ghostbusters VERY CHEESY BUT STILL A GREAT MOVIE
Real Genius
Valley Girl
Cheerleader Camp
My Chauffer
ZAPP
Howard the Duck
The Shining
Full Metal Jacket
Hambuger Hill
Platoon
Roger Rabbit
Blade Runner
Back to the Future
Radiers of the Lost Ark
The Untouchables
Airplane Very cheesy but funny
Scanners
The Outsiders
They Live
80'S game shows on tv HOW WE SO FORGOT THEM

I know you said to name one 80's movie. But how can you have just one 80's favorite

I am sure they will..I think it might be hard to get actual prints of some of the films. The ones this cinema (I love this place, right in the social center of London but costs 1/10th the cost of a movie at the big cinema right nextdoor) had were all a bit scratchy but then they have been sitting around for nearly 20 years.

one I haven't seen in ages - Some Kind Of Wonderful

Remember Lucas?

Oh, last night the Cinema nextdoor to that one hosted the London premier of Tombraider 2. Jolie was out there when we went to stretch our legs between movies. Tombraider 2 or any of the movies that played last night? I think I made the right choice.

Tootie - I had never seen Breakfast club on the big screen and it brought something new to it, such a great dialouge film.

what is missing from today's movies is a sense of 'movie magic'. Sure special effects mean you can do anything but it used to be written into the scripts more than it is now.

Of course, there are 80's films that never should have been made..Teenwolf Too comes to mind.

haha I watched it again the other night.
I always love watching the losers in London. They spent all those years doing nothing, then finally got signed just as Nirvana hit the scene and killed hair bands.

I think Seduce was my favorite, I still have some cd's here.

Oh and how about your favorite band Odin HAHAHA
