I always love watching the losers in London. They spent all those years doing nothing, then finally got signed just as Nirvana hit the scene and killed hair bands.

I think Seduce was my favorite, I still have some cd's here.

Oh and how about your favorite band Odin HAHAHA

hey, Odin fucking rules, we even did a double headlining thingee with them....we kicked ass in front of about 12-15 drunken punkers....hehehe

Shok 08-20-2003 01:44 PM

did you lick his leather thong?

SykkBoy 08-20-2003 01:44 PM

"That's impossible sir, it's in Johnson's underwear"

Did you ever watch Mr. Show with David Cross?

They did this skit of a bunch of metal hair guys drinking in a hottub together then start having gay sex with each other.

I swear they took that from the scene when Odin was all in the hottub together all saying they were going to be the next Zepplin.

yup, they even listed her body double in the end credits...ever since then, my only wish is to see Scott Baio catch on fire and fall onto a drunken Willie Aames.......

"Billed as "The Comedy That Wont Let You Down", this 1982 film, sadly, wasn't nominated for a single Oscar. Not even a Best Supporting Actress for Heather Thomas (who has a "nude" shot in the movie, but the closing credits insist "Heather Thomas did not appear nude in this film, and a body double was used"). "

I have video of Gabe doing it naked

SykkBoy 08-20-2003 02:10 PM

On the bright side, Bishop, Ned Beatty did his own nudity in "Deliverance" and Kathy Bates did her own nudity in "At Play In The Fields Of The Lord"

Yeah, I was obsessed with that movie. I saw it in theaters back in 82 when I was 8. What a huge mistake that was back then.. The numbers of nightmares I had. But I think I saw it 1000000000000000000000 times after that. Too bad Heather died when she was 12, I've always wondered how she'd look like by now.

basschick 08-20-2003 03:21 PM

does caddyshack count? it was in 1980... the character of ty webb was so zen *LOL*

i love weird science - had SUCH a crush on kelly labrock, and my son and i still run around quoting from the movie

breakfast club - maybe one of the ultimate 80s movies ever

decline and fall of western civilization part 2 the metal years - i treasure chris holmes in that pool pouring vodka all over himself while his aged mother watches in alarm

revenge of the nerds - we just watched that on dvd the other day

not to mention ferris bueller's day off, torch song trilogy, wrath of kahn... there are SO many more - it's true! even though 80s movies are cheesy, they are so great *LOL*

Back to the Future - not my favorite but kewl. after any star wars, it's my son's. a bunch of us went to a back to the future-a-thon when the third movie came out :)

Ĉon 08-20-2003 03:21 PM

basschick 08-20-2003 03:22 PM

lol, well if you think he looked interesting there you should see him in Rocky Horror ;)

Olivier 08-20-2003 04:29 PM

Count me in for:

Back to the Future :thumbsup

In fact, I love most of the 80's movies.

"It's some kind of magic", quoted from Highlander.

There is something in those films, it's the atmosphere, the photography, the acting... If you look at the 80's horror movies, you can see the difference from today's horror movies.

So the best are:

Back to the Future
E.T.
Highlander
A Nightmare on Elm's Street
Hellraiser
Mad Max

and...

STAR WARS, Episode V, The Empire Strike Back (1980)
STAR WARS, Episode VI, Return of the Jedi (1983)

I also add Star Wars, Episode IV, A New Hope, although it's in 1977...just cuz Star Wars rules :winkwink:

So, that's a short list, there is many many more, but I don't want to spend the night on it

Cheers!

anyone remember the name of a kids movie from the 80's featuring a young River Pheonix for sure and perhaps corey feldman but not sure about him (and no, not Stand By Me). They built a space ship in their back yard and had lucid dreams where they imagined flying it. Finally, they do go up in it and are met by wise cracking aliens who watch loads of tv. Used to be on HBO all the time.
