dude download some paul gilbert...he was with a band called Racer-X before he joined Mr Big and now is doing his own thing.

Paul Gilbert makes you practice or quit playing... he is just that fuckin good.

Side note...before all you people say that Jimi...Randy...etc is the best, Im not talking about best player...just stating that Paul Gilbert kicks some ass

Soul Rebel, you wont find out until you pick one and try.

I never took a single lesson and i am not 100% happy with my
skills, but they pretty much serve for the purpose.

And a Seagull S6 acoustic (lefty)

You lucky right handed bastards should try a Godin A6.
Those things are great.

Hey hey... did someone say geeetar?! =]

I've been playing since 87. I used to get paid to transcribe Malmsteen, MacAlpine and Gilbert often. I did YRO right before it came out in GFTPM.

I have some music at http://www.spirit53.com. Most of the more guitar oriented stuff I did was on Vacation From Reality and Eternal Equinox.

I'd be happy to do the transcription anyway but I've got way too much design work to do and it pays much better than $50. =] Kudos to you for getting half of it though. It's a beast.

Oh yeah the original post question. Duh!

PRS (one of the original 500 from the first year they came out)

Parker Fly

I use VG8 and VG88 unites for sound these days although I still have all my big hair 80s rack gear.

Yeah I loved him. He was my fave for quite a few years. I transcribed the Under Lock and Key album.

You want to be really REALLY frustrated though. Try to transcribe Allan Holdsworth! Nothing like it.

I have a shitty strat that needs frets.......
I am mostly a bassist when it comes to guitars. I use a Spector bass and I have one custom carvin. My rig is an Ampeg 4-10 cabinet with a rack loaded tech 21 RBI Sansamp pre looping a DBX compressor driving a QSC power amp.

That's it for guitars. Keyboards are my main gig. I use Kurzweils for live and studio.
