DALLAS, Aug. 19 (UPI) -- Law officers who investigate Internet crimes against children are being encouraged to use obscenity laws as a new tactic to crack down on the growing threat.

At an Internet Crimes Against Children Conference this week a top federal official and former prosecutor said obscenity prosecutions would disrupt the environment that often entices children into trouble on the Internet.

"I want to challenge you to think about obscenity prosecution and investigation as part of the day-to-day work of the Internet Crimes Against Children task forces," said Robert Flores, administrator of the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention.

Seems like more and more states are using the "kiddie porn" laws to harass legit adult webmasters. Nice tactic... but it won't work. Some law enforcement official will get shot in Tx doing that sneaky shit. Texans won't stand for that shit... I'd hate to be Flores.
