Unless someone can prove me wrong I have to insist that we were the Pioneers of Reality Porn. Our first releas was in 1981, can anyone go earlier than that. Plus we have been nominated for 13 AVN awards and we have won 4 times...thats more than anyone else in that category...and yes thats more than Ed Powers (a good friend of GM Video) So just to set the record straight GM Video were the first ones on the reality porn set.

We are freinds with Ed and I have to tell you we were doing reality porn way before he started the Dirty Debs...but just a little more trivia for you guy's before he did Dirty Debs he did a series called The Bus Stop. Same type of thing he would pick up girls at a bus stop and take them home and fuck them. So If you want to claim Ed is the first then at least know what his first attempts was. The godfather of GONZO is John Stagliano, aka Buttman, Ed Powers also deserves credit, as well as Seymore Butts cuz Seymore really started to make porn hip and cool. not going to nitpick here, whenever this type of thing gets discussed there are always people who will claim they were first, and they probably have some validity. But when most people think of GONZO PORN, it's more than just being unscripted or amateur as in Homegrown's case. Stagliano is the guy who all of today's gonzo studios and directors followed.

"Gonzo porn", which really is simulated reality xxx, was probably originated with "Buttman" Stagliano, though some would say Jaime Gillis did it first when he did a "pick up" series or that
amateur porn was born when Ugly George hit the streets of New York City with a camera in the late seventies and early eighties.
In any event, Homegrown Video was the first authentic amateur or reality series and it also was promoting back on the General BBS years and years ago. Carol Cox was doing authentic reality shows on the net before Voyeur Dorm too...
