:mad Adobe stalls so fucking much...

Ok...

Stalls when clicking new file, takes about 10 seconds before it'll recognize it.

Stalls when adding new layers,
Stalls when adding blending options,
Stalls when opening font list....

Like wtf I thought this was suppose to be a good programme?!

Anyone else had any of above problems, if so how'dya solve it?

I've re-installed about 5 times.. including formatting the partition its on. Also un-in then re-in....

Maybe im just cursed?

That's the key question...Loads of it...At least a 1 GB

For maximum performance use the following:

Processor - at least P4 2.0
Fast EIDE hard drives or SCSI, Raid array

Even with lower grade PCS I have crashed using Photoshop maybe 10 times in 10 years. Even with 250 or so plug-ins installed. You might have too many TSRs loading on your startup sequence. Your installation might not be stable. Trying uninstalling and reinstalling if problems continue.

I remove everything running in the taskbar, background.
512mb ram. Even though its not 1gb its still sufficient.

It only happens sometimes, which pisses me off moreso.
