As a long-time Eminem fan, the guy has something most of you are all overlooking: real talent. The fact he uses a "shock" approach probably was a way to attract media attention, as no other white rappers have come close to "main event" level (aside from House of Pain maybe - though I could be missing someone somewhere).
I've seen him back in the Warped Tour days and earlier, playing in college sports arenas. He couldn't put on a show, often came out only for 30 mins or so (even a show he headlined) then left drunk / on drugs and almost got killed at Warped Tour by fans waiting for Pennywise to come on (the genius bookers put him on 2nd last right before them...) I've also seen a show of his recently, there is a HUGE difference and progress. He's also had like 6-7 albums now without becoming repetitive, which is a lot more I can say for rappers like Biggie, Pac et al. On the subject of why he's not dead though, who would want to kill him? Some jealous rapper? Would killing Eminem make that rapper take his place? Hell no....besides, most rapper "feuds" are all publicity campaigns anyhow. We all know the only reason to kill someone is over money or your bitch =)..... |

No offense to the Eminem fans but he aint shit, i have no respect for people who talk about others for no reason . Why the fuck would he talk about Britany spears and nsyn, what possibly could these "artists" do to him to make him talk about them 24/7. I never seen Em diss anyone other then white people excluding Benzino, wonder why.

The Beastie Boys were the 1st white rappers that hit big... no the stuff they do these days may not qualify as rap, but they were there and are still pumping out albums..they have another one comeing out soon :) House of pain was pretty good, but they were more of a one hit wonder... |
Eminem is the thshit!
His flow and humor in rhyme kick all the other rapper's ass! I also like Nas, he rhymes about more than just bitched and dough (although, when you think about it...what more is there?) |
