Interesting question...

I've had the same (female) doctor since I was 17, and she's alway s been super nice. She runs the metal under warm water first so it's not painfully cold, and she just cranks it enough to do the poking around she has to do. It's not pleasant by any stretch of the imagination, bu tit's not horrible, either. It just ... is. A neccessary of life, I suppose.
