You can load the video file directly into Ulead GIF Animator and save it as a GIF. -

Watch the video, choose the moment you want to save in a .GIF, load the video into Jasc Animator Shop, cut out 4-5 frames and paste them into a new .GIF. Just make sure you don't take out too many frames, because there are lots of pixels that change in a video and the .GIF will have a massive size when you do that.

Not necessarily. You can also cut out the piece you want to convert to .GIF in a different program first. If it's still too big I would recommend downsizing the thing.Originally posted by TeenGodFather
