Al Quieda, could they be involved in NYC blackout?

Ok heres the thing. A few days ago the news reported that pro Saddam factions sabotaged some power equipment near Bassara Iraq. In 120 degree weather some Mullah ie Muslim religious leader got the towns folk all riled up and riots broke out and violence ensued.


Now I was watching an interview yesterday with some government leader saying that Al Quieda likes to do whatever worked for them last time. He was referring to why we should strengthen security for airports. But this got me thinking that maybe this attack on the power lines was an Al Quieda attack. Seeing that they were successful the have one of their sleeper agents sabotage our power grid!

Now the government says "No need to panic folks this is NOT a terrorist attack". Maybe, maybe not. Maybe it was and they don't want to panic the huge crowds of New Yorkers stuck in Manhattan with the lights off. Maybe they're onto the real attacker and don't want to let him know we are onto his trail!

No it seems that unlike the 16 towel heads with pocket knives that brought America to its knees last time this time it was a lightling strike that shut down 1/4 the country.

Any guesses on what sort of weapons terrorist's will have in the next 20-150 years? cos this will go on for generations.

Well, we will have some ultra sophisticated plasma bombs that will wipe out countries in a matter of seconds and terrorists will have access to the older technology like nuclear weapons. Nothing to worry about.

Lightning is what the Canadian Government keeps blaming it on,
instead of any human or mechanical problems they may have caused. The national weather beauru says there was no lighting in the area at the time of the black out, go going Canada, can you do anything right?
