    Protecting Kids From Pornographers

    http://www.avnonline.com/issues/2003...081303_1.shtml

WASHINGTON - Barely a week after Extreme Associates' husband-and-wife operators were arrested on obscenity charges, the Bush Administration is asking the Supreme Court to reinstate the Child Online Protection Act, meant to punish adult and other "inappropriate" Website operators whose material is exposed to children, and on hold since the American Civil Liberties Union challenged the law.

They're baaaaaaaaaaaaack.. yes, the sequel to COPA is returning, now that they got the lid shut on Terrorism (ya right).

I think the solution for stopping Congress from passing laws and the Feds from enforcing the law, is to remove graphic images from your home page, make sure that search engines don't allow side door entrances into your site, and stop the graphic spam.

Most webmasters won't like this idea because:

    1) they feel the front splash screen gets people's attention to look further

    2) search engines index their open page areas and help to draw traffic in

    3) spam must be working since there is so much of it, and like point #1, if the email images look enticing, someone will click.

Times are changing, and if this industry as a whole doesn't work within itself to make some changes, then the guys up on the Hill will...

This will happen eventually. A person that stands in front of a Hurricane may be brave, but they will be a brave dead fool.

speling aside.... this ain't about SexEducation.... this is about:

                  1) protecting kids from seeing the "bad" stuff

                  2) protecting yourself from being sent to jail.

I truly believe that the industry as a whole needs to adopt similar ideas as i posted above. While waiting for the adult industry to come to some kind of consensus, you can do your part.

Follow my suggestions on your own website, atleast protect yourself!

Children (those not yet reproductively capable) should not see the "bad" stuff.

However, it's the job of the Parent to ensure their Teens mature to Adults. A complete adult understanding of sex requires knowledge of the "bad" stuff.

Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) is a global sickness cured simply with knowledge.

"Risk Management" is definitely a crash course I learned here on GFY...lol

Depending on the severity of your content I would suggest a disclaimer on the "unreality" of the site just like MaxHardcore.com does.

                    Except better then his ...
good for "risk management". : )

You are not suitable to suggest anything. It was only a few weeks ago you were breaking the law in countless areas with content, and suggesting it was OK for minors to enter your site and view hardcore.

I don't understand the american people...how the fuck can porn harm children?
Their are enough countries where every child can turn on the TV and see porn on some channels. I never heared about children killing or harming themself because they saw some porn.

If a child wants to see it than it will see it and if not than not. If the parents don't want that their children see porn than they will have to install a protection on the TV or PC.

It's the same with saying some bad word on TV. Does a child die if it hears the word "fuck", "asshole" or something like that? I don't think so...

NO ... it is okay for a Parent to decide what maturity level their teen is though. Or do you think you are instantly mature the nano-second you turn 18?

You're a dick... it's illegal to show adult content to a minor, can you not grasp that? and suggesting that parents can show porn to their kids is illegal too. It's doesn't matter what you 'think' is ok, it's what's legal... I might think it's ok to go round shooting pedo's in the face, but it's still illegal.

Well ya - who would do that?
SexEducation.com provides a complete sex education.
                                      Get it through your brain.
It contains "good" and "bad" as well as "mature" and "maturing".
Some content on SexEducation.com a website INTENDED FOR PARENTS (ADULTS) ONLY ... should be shown to teens and some should definitely not.

                                      ...
and suggesting that parents can show porn to their kids is illegal too. [/B]

However, a Parent can decide to choose to see examples of what their teen will instantly have access to once an adult - a complete sex education.

I recommend SexEducation.com to every Parent on the planet.
