It was nice. My parents had done the Yellowstone thing about 4 years ago but in late September. We of course managed to go right in the height of the tourist season. Crowded..like all get out. There were a few fires burning in the park. It's amazing that they let most naturally started fires burn rather than fight them. Guess it's part of the "let nature take its course" thing.

I think there's one that I'll be laughing about for eons tho... The bus has a musical horn as well as an air horn. The musical horn plays 99 different songs. The second day out on I-90 in Montana my dad was driving and started playing the tunes on the horn since there wasn't really any other traffic on the road. We rounded a curve and he'd just started a new tune when we came across a pasture of cattle near the road. As we went by...steer after steer looked up at the bus. It was comical. Then there's the teasing we've been giving my 19 year old. In Cody, he decided that he needed cowboy boots and a new hat. By the time we were done, he not only had new Tony Lamas, but a whole outfit. All he needed was to sit on a horse for the day to have the walk down. A couple of days after he went 'cowboy', I was in a store and came across the little cap guns and holsters that young boys sometimes play cowboys and indians with. I couldn't resist and bought a set... had it wrapped up, etc.. The look on his face was priceless when he opened the box.. (thinking mom had got him something good).
