Photoshop Fonts not loading

Anyone else ever have a problem with fonts loading in photoshop. Usually I close and reopen three or four times and they finally all show up. And yes I am one of the not so smart people still using Windows 98 with photoshop. I'm going to upgrade to XP this weekend but I'm not sure if this is a problem becuase of win98?

Thanks Lorna

I have no magic fix
but I use winXP and get the same problem
but thats probably because I have over 2000 fonts installed

usually I just reboot my PC and it fixes it
only happens liek once a month - which isnt too bad considering I use photoshop every day.

yeah it's a low memory glitch. if you close your other apps and restart PS it often works, and rebooting always works.

Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.
Let me repeat... A 120 x 60 button and no more that 3 lines of DEFAULT SIZE AND COLOR text.

I have the same problem haven't found a proper fix yet..
However Photoshop is becoming a royal pain in the ass. Always closes because "user.exe" has created a blah blah blah... might just upgrade to 1gb ram

Same problem here quite often
And same problem with Flash MX on Win XP

Anyone knows a fix for flash?
Or is it just a lack of available RAM?

You guys using a font management program like Adobe Type Manager? You're not just sticking fonts into your system folder are you? That's asking for trouble.

Also one corupt font can screw up your whole machine believe it or not. Using type manager or another font management tool that checks file integrity will save you a lot of headaches.

Cool, hopefully that works for you.

Keep your fonts organized in a folder somewhere. I have mine in desktop/resources/fonts... then sorted by foundry, and then alpahabeticaly if need be. You just leave them there and let ATM turn them off and on. It makes aliases or copies of them to various places on your machine.

You can even turn fonts on and off with programs like Photoshop or Illustrator open, they should update automaticaly.

I think you'd be happier with the deluxe version. The light version isn't so much a management/organization tool as it is a preview tool from what I remember.
