---> Need some advice
around 11 months ago with my book business and my two ex partners I sold out and got a buyout in cash . Ok my buyout was a less any money I owed the attorney for work done.
I just sent my buddy to my lawyer and i spoke with him regarding this matter of tha last invoice in which the ex partners owed 5k . I spoke with him a few months ago and he sent them abill and I assumed evrything was payed. So i spoke with him today and they still havent paid him. Keep in mind there i sbad blood between me and my ex partners cause after i left I called evry customer and supplier and shut them down from any source. I just emailed them basically saying "wtf you guys gonna pay him or are you that stupid to fuck with an attorney" Now obviousy they have no intentions of paying due to almost being bankrupt. Now should i out of good faith pay the bill to the lawyer whom keep in my saved my ass or say fuck it its there bill go after them? |

If you were bought out of the partnership, and there were no contractual obligations as part of the buyout agreement stipulating you were responsible for attorney fees at that time, then the partners that stayed in the deal would be responsible for the legal fees subsequent to that time.
Never feel sorry for attorneys they do very well.

A judge can garnashee any income they are bringing in,or set up a monthly payment plan.Better than just throwing your hands up and walking away.They might file for chapter 11 or claim to be bankrupt but let a judge take a look.
