I'm actually reading an Anne Rice book. The Witching Hour.

I just finished:
Aztec by Gary Jennings - Really good historical fiction.
America Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis - Very bizarre.
The Things They Carried by Timothy O'Brien - Vietnam stories by a Vietnam vet
Making Of An American Capitalist by Roger Lowenstein - Warren Buffet's biography

"Slander" is on my nightstand
"Ben Franklin, an American Life" is on my library coffee table
"Oxford Illustrated history of Britian" is in the family room
and some thick book on wines by Robert Parker is in my office. Depending on what room I'm in, thats what I'm reading.

yeah, I have different books for different rooms too. There is the loo book which is Lovely Bones because it is so face paced you can dip in and out. Then there is Blackberry Wine which is a bit hard going but I hate not finishing books so I take that one with me on busses and trains because it is better than looking at the back of the head in front of me.

I have 'Why didn't I write that' and 'The writers Handbook' near by desk to guilt me into writing everyday. 'Why didn't I write that is an excellent book for anyone who think they have a non-fiction book idea.

currently reading or finished in the last month or two:

On Writing by Stephen King - Excellent

Talk of the Devil by Ricardo Orizio - Skip it

Its Not About the Bike by Lance Armstrong - Excellent

From a Buick 8 by Stephen King - Not his best by a longshot

Without Conscience by Robert Hare - Excellent

Everythings Eventual by Stephen King - Still reading, looks like great collection of short stories so far.

Eat, Drink, & be Merry by Dean Edell - Excellent

The Summons by Grisham - Not his best but still good

Broke Diaries by Angela Nissel - Still reading, has its moments.

heh, my loo book is the Robb Report. And my "hard going" book was "Constantine's Sword" I finally had to give it up. Its the only book I've ever not finished. It was about the historical relationship of Christianity and Judaism. Too rambley, too many drawn conclusions that only fit the authors eye. it sucked.

Liked the part where he talks about how he was pounding a case of 16oz tallboys a night and couldn't remember writing most of Cujo.
