better fix it like this:
control panel -> administrative tools -> services -> remote procedure call (RPC). right click, choose properties. go to recovery tab. choose "no action" for all boxes.

i still use windows - im on it right now
freebsd is just what i run on my home server - i have perennial OS changes this way and that way but i cant really get away from windows no matter how much id like to. i usually operate only console anyway - fuck x and all that garbage. im a geek, biaaaaaatch |

this dcom shit has been out in the wild and people have been speculating it for mad long
i patched my shit right after i heard about it then i looked at the news and they were talking about it a worm with this shit is serious because it doesnt only affect cheesedick admins it affects regular joe fucks with cable modems and what not the current iteration of this worm is kinda gay but if something more new school came along that behaved like sql slammer or something god help us nigs in the street |

what is scary is that yesterday's problem could have been 100x times worse if the programmer of msblaster virus wanted to. It's fairly easy to completely destroy various essential data of someone's system. So far most viruses do not focus on damages, but on how to infect more systems. am i right ytcracker?
Let's hope it will remain like this. I would hate to re-install windows every week  |

the primary purpose of this blaster worm is simply propagation, then the aug 16th dos attack on windowsupdate the next generation of this same worm will not be so forgiving patch ur snatch |

yea, I heard about the dcom exploit from a friend a little while ago, and I found it to be a problem as my friends are quit vuln I helped em patch cause they are dumb. YT thanks for posting this cause If I were one of them newbs that just stumbled on it I would of liked to know about it =)
