I got a $.01 cent check from a utility company saying they had found a computer error in the last billing cycle and were refunding customers affected.

I tossed it in the trash so their accounting would be off again.

Mine wasn't 5 cents. It was actually 15 cents, but the kicker is that it bounced.

I worked for a few hours at Service Merchandise when I was in High School. A year later I got a commision check for 15 cents, but the company then went broke.
