Both, we came from Spain, it has been funny of course, but it also has been really productive for bussines and will be proved soon. We had some bussines meals really interesteting for our future projects like the one with the CCBill staff and BVF, the one with Candid hosting staff, also we had some really good days with Choker, funny but also really profitable for both sides. Even at the night parties, at the hotel lobby, at the pool, etc we did good bussines with content providers, sponsor programs and webmasters interested in our projects. And the more important thing for us is not just the bussines deals we did but the new chances that will come once the ppl knows our faces, our bussines and that we are serious, for us europeans is even more usefull as only a few can afford the long travel and time spent, so that is another proof of how serious is our bussines.
The main thing is not if somebody pisses on the pool or whatever, but how do you use your time there. Each place is good for bussines if you know how to use it, even when somebody comes outside a club to smoke is a good chance to have a short first contact than could be a really profitable bussines in the future. Our bussines is based on trusting each others and to talk looking the other side eyes helps a lot for present or future bussines.
About the pics, of course the ppl is publishing the funny ones, nobody is interested on showing or watching boring webmasters talking about bussines around a table in a restaurant, we all want to enjoy the wild party pics, the hot chicks, etc so don't be blind, there was tons of bussines there for the ppl who knew how to take the chances.

To say "Every other industry does the same or worse" is a weak argument. OTHER industries are not under a microscope by the government. OTHER industries are not in danger of losing one of their best ways to bill customers and make money. OTHER industries do not have a bad "rep" among the general public.

I was there, I saw the peeing on the floor. What I gather after seeing the pictures and listening to Kayla, is she WAS peeing in a cup, but some missed. I KNOW some missed because I SAW it hitting the floor in a puddle of a party on a rented boat. Maybe being raised in a strict Southern household makes me a prude, but after being in this biz since 1997 and going to numerous shows, I was nothing but disgusted and appalled.

Was this an isolated incident? As far as peeing on the floor, yes. But the public nudity and sex acts, damage to the hotel, etc. was not. This was, by far, the worst behavior I've seen at a show by us, the webmasters.

The National Net suites used to be the BEST place to get together and hook up with everyone, relax, talk, etc. They stopped doing it for infractions that were a LOT more tame than what was going on in FL. As in "real life", if you disrespect your host, they stop inviting you over.

Yes, I know I can keep my fat butt in the hotel room, still do biz and not have to deal with the "problems". And I did stay away from the parties that I knew would make me blush.

But I didn't expect the GFY boat party to be one of those. Nor did I expect it in the public areas of the hotel. The sexual things on the boat were fine - it wasn't "in public". But to destroy property is bad manners and rude at the very least and the fact that someone probably had to pay for that makes it all the worst.

What worries more than anything is this industry's need for "oneupping". I'm willing to bet something even worse will happen in Vegas.

One thing that struck me looking at JFK's pictures were the CE luncheon, Sleazy's dinner and a couple of other parties showed people having FUN....but no nudity, sex acts, or destruction of property. These are the people that are interested in the BUSINESS side of this industry and they have the bank balances to prove it. But I also realize that there are a LOT of people that AREN'T here to make mega-bucks, so I DO see their side of the "Party" aspect. I just don't comprehend why it has to be done in public.

We did ourselves a disservice in FL, IMHO. I also know that nothing I say is going to change the mind of the wild party people - I just wanted to toss in my

The things that went on at Internext this year, were somewhat different than other years, because they were done in front of more people. These things have always went on, BUT they were kept under wraps
at smaller parties, and usually invitation only. There is really no uproar, when kept between people of the same mindset. It is when they are done in the presense of a 1,000 people that things change. It was totally unexpected by the majority of the attendees who would not have went if they knew this type of behaviour was going to go on.

The vandelism is another story. That has to be chalked up to lack of maturity, , stupidity and lack of respect of other people property.

It only takes a few incidents to sour a hotel, or to make a sponsor decide not to be involved again.

Hopefully some have learned from these threads that some things should be more private and that vandelism is 'not acceptable.

I think its both .

you have good people that work there fucking asses off for 6 months and then go out and release for 3 night . Most of the people i have meet dont go out at all except when they gotto a show...

I would think if there is a problem and to much parting the sponsers would start holding parties at the local roller rink or the bowling alley..

Looks to me that the big players through huge parties with open bars. Witch they contribute to the drunken mentality. I see nothing wrong with this and im thinking the big players dont think much of it becuase they keep it coming ..

I ran night clubs for many years and every night with 4 to 500 people in the club some one pissed on something and broke something and even showed some nudity ..
REGARDLESS you will always have the group that drinks to much gets outta controll .. thats life it happins .. but to say the show in general was a mess is wrong.

of fuck ya i was part of a after hours party where i meet and be friended many people .. we partied big time . and i meet tons of new people and have made new exit deals since the show ended with these people.

Meet people by the pool drank with them and i have made some new traffic deals ..

Meet new people at all the parties i attended and have struck up new deals ..

so basicly i have drank alot meet tons of new people and made new buisness deals

so yes its buisness and a big party.. its great its a blast . And i love it and will continue to gotto the shows and drink and mingle..

Matter affact im going to the holio party this week and god i hope no one gets drunk ..

oh wait is this a party or a buisness thing .. can some one tell me if i can drink at this event ..

ANy way take a few thousand people from all over the world put them together drinking and such .. problems will happin.. sucks things went wrong . but in my eyes for the amount of boose and the amount of people i think it went well..

GOOD PEOPLE HAVE BAD DAYS ... but some people dont even wanna see that...

The shows over, its done, and nothing can be undone.

There have always been people who want their personal lives to be made public, especially when they are doing something illegal or that would shock other people. It's exhibitionist in nature and it simply is what it is.

Vegas is an entirely different world from Miami, there are so many things to do that simply don't involve drugs or pissing or anything like that, and it's not the same carnival atmosphere that Miami seems to inspire (or anyplace that hot and humid and fetid - New Orleans was another set of shows that were nearly out of hand, especially the ia2000 show there) so things go differently.

This is also a very up in the air time for everyone, with all the new rules and regulations and stuff, so of course people will party like it's the last time they are getting together to party.

At the end of the day the show is what you make of it. If you spend it partying and sleeping all day, then you had a great time partying. If you meet with people, meet new people, and get new things going with them, then you did business.
