What's your latest music fixation?
What's your latest music fixation? I know everyone must have a band, or song they must listen to many times per day.
Lately I've been hooked on Eels. Dunno why, I like his dirty voice. ![]()

Avril Lavigne. She is so hard and heavy, can't get her out of my head.

Thrice - "The Artist In The Ambulance" is a pretty good cd. That's what's in my player. The nice thing is that most places are selling it for $10

Squarepusher, Boards of Canada, Amon Tobin, DJ Shadow, Aqua Velvets, Man or Astroman, etc, etc, etc.
Common element: music, no words. I don't need no 25 y/o with a guitar telling me shit about life

Shaggy and Janet Jackson's "Boy I Love You So"... annoying but somehow also manages to increase my concentration to my work... Dixie Chicks' "Landslide" too.. both good work songs.

Interestingly enough I ran into the Eels last winter when in the Dead of Winter I was separating my wife of 13 years and entering my Descent into Madness.
It's rare when a band fits in your life this way.. anyway, how long have they been around?

I'm a blues and jazz man, if you dig either of those I got a mainstream site with streaming music you might dig, all free. Check my profile and contact on AIM.

Didn't post because I only want those really interested to go and get my contact info.
I've been turned off ICQ lately, it is bloated software and I've had 2 accounts hacked in the last 5 years, including my 200,000s account. Their support in terms of getting the account back even when I have all the account info is poor. AIM is simple, most of my personal friends use it instead of ICQ. I also use irc.

DJ's are not rockstars / Princess Superstar ... they were one of the DJ's from Top Buck's party Saturday night. She was on late, mixing rock and hip hop favorites with techno beats, I'd never heard anything like it. Anyways I picked up their CD at the party and I just bought another one off her site.
Check them out : DJ's are not rockstars and Princess Superstar
