Before you view I should point out that this guy has absolutely no clue about the internet and up until 2 weeks ago had never seen an html editor before. I just gave him a CD full of content and this is what he came up with.

I know there is plenty wrong with it and he is only just getting his head round tables, let me know what you think of his first attempt.

Also I'm not gay (despite the handle) so will this type of work appeal to the gay community?

Ya got to make it smaller....

My stats show me that...

44.8% of people are running 800x600
41.7% of people are running 1024x768

My screen resolution is 1280x1024 and I still had to scroll down to find the enter button.

One trick is to use a % for the height and width of an image instead of actual pixils. This also applys for frames and tables.

eg... img src="Knked.gif" width="20%" height="70%"

you are now telling the image to take up a certain percentage of the available screen space. This way you can resize your browser window to any size and it will dynamically resize the images to fit and still look the same without distorting the image.

He took a photo of himself and then gave it a good going over in photoshop, if you saw him you'd appreciate just how much work went into it, he changed the length of his arms legs and torso, the gif image is a bit low rez but the original artwork looks cool.

iceicebaby I agree with all of that

As mentioned he has no clue about the interned and his real skills are in hand drawn images and he is pretty good with photoshop, I'm just hoping I can get him going in the right direction.

As for the image size problems I'm going to get my ass down to his house some time this week and explain all about the % feature for scaling images.

it works, but the image is still downloaded full size - slower load times. it's better to resize it in photoshop beforehand.

True and thats what I said... have the image size that will for for say 1024x768 and then the load time won't kill the 800x600 people. Besides the difference is only a few k and with alot of people on high speed connections it wouldn't matter much.

no offense, but I think it's crap. loads slow, difficult to navigate, akward size/scolling ... etc. etc.
