				 | It all depends on why you need one, I had one the next day after my doctor thought he left a needle in my after my C-Section! Want to see a man call in some favours! My brother in law was on a waiting list for over a year and after he died of cancer the day of his wake they called his wife to tell him he could get in the following day! talk about mad!! | I have had a couple done and never had to wait more then 2 weeks. Check around and see if there are other places around close to your house that offer them. I live close to Boston so it is never a problem getting one around here, but it may be harder where you live |

				 | Go for an open MRI. Here in Dallas there are a few places in shopping centers that do them, and they send all the info to your doctor over the computer. Can usually get into them within a couple days. Originally saw them on Oprah. I needed one a couple years ago, doctor told me it would be weeks, so I found a place to do it the next day.

				 | If you need one to check for a brain tumor , you need it right away.To get one right away ask your doctor to state the urgency for one at the place where the mri is done. |

				 | Honey, call the medical plan and request a 'hearing' on the urgency claim this morning. ;-) Under law they have to have some sort of review system to oversee these cases or they can be held liable if something happens. Usually they have doctors that will review the need and if needed to speed things along, they will send you somewhere else to have the MRI done. Hope it comes out well! But don't let them back you down!! (If they refuse, go to an attorney right away)
