Scanning and encoding facilities - could I make cash? (Acacia please dont read)
I have the facility to process 2500 slides per day and do video encoding.
Is there a market for this and what would people be prepared to pay per slide etc. |

(I should also add that some negative emulsions are more delicate and sensitive to heat than others, you are more likely to find more color variation and bleed in negs that are scanned than in slides) |

We have NIkon 4000 ed plus the SF 200 slide feeder. We have more than one! They reckong they can process 50 per hour but that is only if you are using the crap settings. We are scanning high rez then cleaning up and optimising.
Have a look at www.xxxguest.com for the quality. The scans on the outside are unoptimised, uncleaned and hte ones in the folder are the finished product. What do you think? |

So informative, thanks.
We use Imacon Flextights (good name huh?), not with feeders though. Your through rate is impressive. |

The great thing with the Nikon 4000 ed is the ICE package which cleans the slides as you go. The new braun for half the price with double the cabablity does not have this so the images come out shit.
