Which Billing Company can Take My GloBill users?!?

I just downloaded my list of Globill users. ASt least I was able to get that much out of them! List was not coming up before.

But now that I have it, which billing company can accept these users? Or do I simply have to email each user to sign up with the new processor?!?

hey mitch, cool. But is it legal to bill users now under a new company if they were billed before by Globill? The user does not have to sign up new?

Anyway, just checked and I can't download credit card info, just email addresses and other stuff..to be expected I guess. I doubt any processor would release cc info... Shit...

Mitch,

Although CCBill has always appreciated our cordial relationship, we believe it is important to let people know that the transferring of Credit Card information is not something any of the card associations would approve of. Furthermore, if you are suggesting to clients that to help them you will get them a mercant account that allows them to import Credit Card information from a prior merchant under a new business name, then I suggest that you may not have their best interests in mind. Certainly you are aware that starting off a new merchant account with tremendous refunds and chargebacks is probably not the direction they wish to take. And this is precisely what will happen if the "billing descriptor" magically changes from Globill to XYZcompany.

CCBill respects these clients that have had a tough day and week and we think your suggestion is extremely dangerous should the card associations catch on to this fact.

What a day. The only biller who will be able to try to continue processing GloBill signups is the (hypothetical) one who buys their business and merges it into their own. Otherwise, it's wicked forbidden.

I don't know shit about 3rd party billing but I dam sure do know NO ONE better be able to get those credit card
numbers but the company that has them right now, further more it's a stupid ass question, can I transfer them. Another
thing my opinion of Netbilling just took a nose dive, shit I just suggested to one of my best sponsors to take a look at you,
Jesus A Christ. shit fire and save matches.

I've seen this ask by more than one, can I transfer them

mark is right people... what Mitch is offering is a truly *bad* idea, for both your precious chargeback ratio and not tempting the titans at VISA/MC w/ dubious business prcatices. ccBill wants to continue to do business indefinitely, that becomes more and more apparent every week..

Nice response CCBill, good job Corvett. Maybe Mitch was talking about contacting all the endusers and getting some sort of approval on any transactions, but if he was talking about just running the cards, whoa---look out! Thats not exactly the game plan I would want my processor (or gateway) to come with.

Tough day for those who billed with Globill, and a blow to the industry as a whole. Anytime so many folks within the industry all lose money at once, its terrible. The trickle down effect will likely be felt by many who did not do any business with Globill.

Hi,

Sorry for the delay as I just saw this.

I am not suggesting anything illegal at all. Each client would be asked for permission to move their data via email communication as we have done in the past. I am not trying to pull any wool".

Our goal is to reduce fraud and help keep the merchants in business, as is yours.

Mitch

Correct me if I'm wrong but globill webmasters never had access to the users credit card nos. so there's no way they could just hand them over to netbilling, the info the original poster was talking about consists of name, e-mail, maybe a phone number & address, no ccs.
