    Password Protection Script

    Hi everyone,
I'm going to install a cgi password-protection script, and I was thinking about t4wsentry.pl (http://www.tools4webmasters.com/t4wsentry.htm).

I don't know many other scripts, and I was wondering if t4wsentry is actually good - or, if not, what other script works well.

    Many thanks in advance

I tried a few with varying success. Finally I just wrote a simple script that greps the logs every 15 minutes for any referrer with "pass" in it. If found it sends me an email. Simple and effective and cheap.

Even if the pw trader doesn't have pass in his URL, the pw is quickly stolen by another trader who does.

But there are other things which a man is afraid to tell even to himself, and every decent man has a number of such things stored away in his mind."

I would recommend t4wsentry. If you have any questions about it, let me know. It works great.

You will lose traffic though since your sites won't be on the pass trader sites anymore.
