Lollapalooza report
Greetings all,
Here's my Lollapalooza report, I saw the show near Boston.... First of all, NO ONE in that damn state takes cdn money....not even the banks. When you ask if they'll exchange it, they just give you dirty looks like Canadians have the plague or something ;p Main Stage: ------------------- Distillers, Incubus, Jurassic 5 - Skipped, was busy in the 2nd stage zone (more below!) The Donnas - Cool chick band, all their songs are about sexually using and abusin guys heh...Not many people seemed to know them though (I've seen them many a time on Warped Tour before though..) Queens of the Stone Age - Prob my fave band that was playin, put on a good solid set but wasn't that much fun sitting in seats instead of having gen. admission Audioslave - Almost broke into the Chris Cornell solo hour, but they shocked the crowd when they covered Seven Nation Army by White Stripes. It rocked. Jane's Addiction - Perry is still the man, although maybe not after wearing what he wore on stage heh....crowd was wild for all their songs and they sounded great. 2nd Stage -------------- Only saw one band perform, Burning Brides. Cool vampirish rock. I also got to meet Tom Morello, crusading for his AxisofJustice organization. The Donnas and some other bands stopped by to meet-n-greet fans too. There was a one man freakshow named Turbo Tom, if anyone ever has the chance to see him go see this guy!! He can do crazy wicked things like punch a bear trap (that I volunteered to hold open for him heh), take blowdart shots in his head/back, pound steel into his face, etc... Also there was a kissing booth with two HOTT bi-sexual chicks, for $2 I got to make out heavily with them both. Oddly, barely anyone went up to have some of them ??? Oh well my gain their loss ;p The after party happened in the parking lot, as it took over two hours ot get out of there. Beer and BBQs were all over the place. All in all, great time but could have been better without stupid seats and without the damn sun... |
