I seriously doubt that Internext sells or gives their list to anyone. The show list is too important to them. (AVN is alo on their hit list....) They may rent the list - but the buyer of the list never sees the names. That is why exhibitors rent the scanners and have drawings to collect names.
In trademark and patent cases - the holders are allowed to run down the list to anyone who made money off the feeds - which would include going down the food chain. Producer / Paysite /paysite affialiate. If you want facts - go to the D-Money site and listen to the last program & then listen in to day for the Acacia side of the story. |

It's going to be a really interesting Internext show floor that's for sure. :2 cents: |

Venus: Acacia is clued in pretty well. Besides the terms of their license agreement, which does demand a list of customers and or affiliates, Acacia is studying the boards.
If you are not using an affiliate program from one of the companies that has signed then using a message board like GFY is quite possibly how they "found" you. IMO http://www.impai.org |

Do you not find it ironic, all the of companies who have raped and pilaladged this industry from day one, who have used slash and burn sales techniques ( Why do we have the 1% rule from VISA?), and now even when they are out of business, they continue to fuck the average webmaster. I have been preaching about this since 1996.... glad some people are starting to wake up! Many of the people you morons idolzied, the "players" who have been fucking you and the surfer for YEARS, making millions while laughing at your ignorance, feeding you hype and free drinks at their players balls and other parties are the same ones who made the deals early with Acacia, and are laughing again. These people are ACTIVELY working with Acacia.... it goes beyond webmaster lists. Glad the GFY mob is finally waking up from their long sleep.... |

Mike, you are 100% on. Same companies who have ruined this business, are behind and "supporting" Acacia. But then again, no real surprise, scum seems to stick together.

Bump ...
Because this needs to be seen and read by the masses edit - spelling cross reference http://www.oprano.com/msgboard/index... 4de0d79153e7 For other companies that MAY be rolling over on small time webmasters |
I've said this in other threads, but I'll post it again here just to set the record straight.
1. Hustler and Vivid were NEVER asked for affiliate information from Acacia. 2. There is nothing in our Acacia agreements that requests, demands or requires us to give out affiliate information. 3. If we were asked, we would not give out that information unless we were required to under a court order. Even then, we would fight that type of request to the end. It sounds to me that they might have obtained their information from multiple sources. I can't speak for anyone else, but we were not one of those sources. |
