:mad Boycott any companies doing deals with Acacia...Lets take the fight to them

I would like to state from the start of this post that I have nothing to do with the IMPA.

In my opinion we must unite and boycott any companies that are doing deals with Acacia.

Do you sell traffic to Fantasy Man? Fuck him send it over to Lensman.

Do you buy from Omunique..Fuck them (There stuff is shit anyway)

...and all the other cockroaches who are funding the good looking packages coming through your doors and the lawyers that are about to put your bollocks in their mouths and squeeze tight.

United we must stand and divided we will never fall.

If you have purchased encoding software email customer support and ask who is going to pay your legal bill because of Acacia.
Put pressure on Real Play and Microsoft to fight them.

Do not pay Acacia anything. Tell them to issue legal action against you as quick as possible. They can not issue that many legal actions.

When at Internext laugh at the Acacia boys and urinate in their coffe.

Acacia wants a fight...lets fucking have it....We need organisations in every country world wide like the IMPA to issue proceedings against Acacia which they will lose due to not showing up. If we could have 20 victories world wide the battle and the war will be over.

Man I want a full scale fight here....

One of the best ways to support this cause is to make a donation or a series of smaller donations to the IMPA.

I would agree with this the only proviso is if the company did the deal with Acacia we need to know if they are contributing behind the scenes to the IMPA cause.

In fact I will give a designer $50 to come up with two designs, both will be around the theme.

"We gave to the fight
What are you going to give
Support IMPA"

Sizes 120 x 60 and 468 x 60

I will get a list of donators from Spike and offer them the banners, free. They can put it up or not.

Only downside for the deigner is I'm going to give the $50 to Spike at the show. Fuck it make it $100.

Now someone come and buy something.

Who is White Sands Communications?

Babenet is the all time scumbag porn company, not only have they ass raped the market we all depend on now they sign a license with Acacia.

Python now uses the name Pink Sands , too much of a coincidence, does anybody know if between their incarnation as Demurrel Enterprises and Pink Sands they were 'White Sands Communications Inc'?

Neither of these companies give a shit about the law, u can bet that if they signed licenses with Acacia there is much more to this story.

Im starting to agree with a boycott. These companies that signed a deal should be ashamed of themself. Why give any ounce of credibility to those fucks.

Then they run around and are like, 'see, so and so signed a deal, these patents are legit '

Ive never known a jew to give money away without a fight, so something stinks.

Krome. Have you donated any money to the IMPA? CECash have. What CECash did was smart. *IF* the attempts to invalidate the patents are unsuccessful, and CE Cash had not signed the agreement, they'd have to pay for 6 years in the past. We're talking millions of dollars here.

CECash are contributing to the IMPA, which is more than can be said for a bunch of the people who keep putting shit on them. Think about it. If i'm a CECash affiliate, and they hadn't signed the agreement, and the IMPA fail, CECash are gonna be out several millions of dollars. Who's gonna pay for that? It's gonna hurt CECash and CECash's affiliates.

Maybe it would be cheaper to buy out the company and put all the lawyers out of a job.

Or am I just thinking too logical?

What's not being considered here is the "terms" any of these companies agreed to with Acacia

For all anyone knows (outside of Acacia & said companies) it is possible that said companies could be receiving compensation in the form of stock, a non-litigation agreement, cash, free lifetime license (the patents expire in 2010, I believe) and or any of the above or other forms of compensation to allow Acacia to publicly state that these companies have licensed with them

oh Vick that is definitely a real possibility that those who are coming to terms with Acacia have a hidden agenda now. Called playing both ends against the middle.

but we'll never know, judge people by prior actions.

I have a question....

So let's see, I as a webmaster can get hit by acacia for linking to a video by a sponsor who is not licensed by acacia.

On the other hand if I link to a video of a sponsor that is licensed by acacia they can't come after me because the stream is licensed, since I am not aiding in the infringement of their patent.

is that correct?

Not according to their claims..

They get paid by the sponsor, they get paid by affiliates of that sponsor as well..

Ok for this to work we need a complete list of companies who have signed with ACACIA.

Then we need to post it on every webmaster board known to man as well as all resource sites. Get the word out to as many webmasters as possible .

Dude I think they'll come after you too. So essentially they're trying to get 2% of revenues from your sponsor and 2% of revenues from you made from that sponsor. If ACACIA were the government, that would be double taxation, would it not?

OK so how many people can we get in on this?

If only 200 go in who are active webmasters it is going to hurt companies.

If we can get the numbers up to the 5k mark then we can totally fuck up the people who have liased with Acacia.

It shouldn't be a matter of trying hurt or destroy any company who settled with ACACIA as it was likely the best business decision for them at the time. It should merely be to pressure those companies for one thing or another.

Cheers,
Matt

What CE has done is hedged their bets. Personally, a smart move for them, I just don't want them bragging about helping the industry though.

They should brag about saving money and protecting their company, but not about doing anything for the industry (even if they contributed to the IMPA).

Hell, if I was in CE's position, I'd have probably done the same thing, but I wouldn't act like I was the industry savior.......

You can send me the questions you're most interested in hearing by emailing

darren @ marketingfirm dot com.

Last weeks show was great, we heard the IMPA's side, now we'll hear the other side.

As the show's host, I'll be unbiased and ask the questions webmasters send to me.

I was also sent papers last week, by the way.

I don't think they're acting like they are. They've potentially saved themselves millions of dollars, while financially helping the IMPA.

Choda...

Without seeing the actual agreements with companies and them, it's be hard to say but can you imagine an attorney writing a deal up without a clause that states that the contractee is still able to contribute to a fund to attempt to defeat the contractor??
