I would like to thank everyone for their patience. IMPA is now ready to begin accepting donations.

Currently, donations can be made in these ways:

Paypal ( http://www.paypal.com ):

Make donations to paypal account: [email protected]

If you don't currently have a paypal account and are going to open one, you can further assist IMPA by clicking the following link to open your paypal account:

https://www.paypal.com/affil/pal=UELH4BDXVH3EE

Stormpay ( http://www.stormpay.com ):

Make donations to stormpay account: [email protected]

If you don't currently have a stormpay account and are going to open one, you can further assist IMPA by clicking the following link to open your stormpay account:

http://www.stormpay.com/?149268

Check or Money Order:

Checks/Money Orders should be made payable to IMPA and sent to:

IMPA
600-A Central Avenue
Lake Elsinore, CA 92530

Wire transfer:

If you would like to donate via wire transfer, please send an email to [email protected] and we will send you wire transfer instructions.

Tax Deductibility:

Donations to IMPA are NOT tax deductible as charitable contributions.

Donations to IMPA MAY be tax deductible to a certain extent as a business expense however we make no guarantees. We have applied for the exemption and should have an answer in 6-8 weeks. If the exemption is granted, then contributions/donations to IMPA for the fiscal year 2003 may qualify. In otherwords, if we receive the exemption in 8 weeks, contributions/donations made today may qualify.

You should consult your own tax professional for advice.

We will have credit card and epassporte options next week although credit card payments can be made now using your paypal or stormpay account.

All donation and contribution information will be kept confidential. We want everyone to know that ANY donation/contribution will be gladly accepted.

Thank you all in advance for your continued support!

This is worthy of a bump. I just sent my donation. I hope others donate what they can too. It's a worthy fight for sites large and small.

One more thing. Will you be publicly listing those who donate? It may not be a great idea considering that Acacia is likely still looking for targets.

Donation: sent.

Awesome that it's up and working. Every working webmaster at GFY should send at least a few bucks. Every bit will help, even five, ten or twenty bucks.

Anyone making money in this industry should send at least $500 to start off with and probably more than that if you can afford it.

These fuckers want a big percentage of all the money you make. Spending a few thousand dollars now to stop them is a great investment in your future. This isn't charity, it's a way for you to make more money in the long run.

Not "make more money"... but it's a way to keep more of the money you have made in the past, or make in the future.

Are you suggesting that because they spend a lot of money (that they have earned with their own sites) that they should foot the entire legal bill to invalidate Acacia patent claims on their own?

Be happy that people that already go to Mondrian for lunch are the ones orchestrating this.

Last thing we need is a bunch of broke fucks collecting all this money for a legal fund

Just because it's late at night, I'll argue that the ambiguity of my original statement made the statement correct.

Fighting this is a way for people to make more money in the future. Not to make more money than they are making now, perhaps, but more money than they would make at some point in the future if they decided not to support the defeat of this questionable patent.

Regardless, I think we agree on this one - give some fucking money!

Rumor???

Let me clear up the rumor right now.

Yes, the IMPA had a meeting and lunch at the Mondrian Hotel.

I was not able to physically attend the meeting due to a prior engagement. I attended the meeting via conference call from my office.

I am told that lunch consisted of:

Tunapica tuna tartar, Calimari salad, Cuban spiced chicken, Miso glazed salmon, and the chef's choice of desserts.

I am told that it was quite delicious. The cost for lunch was $30 per person exclusive of beverages, 20% gratuity, and 8.25% sales tax.

The boardroom ($500) and lunch where paid for entirely by Greg Clayman.

While I attended the meeting via conference call, I ate a teriyaki chicken bowl with steamed white meat chicken, hot mustard, and two won tons. The entire cost of my lunch was $7.75 ($5.75 for the actual meal and $2 to my secretary for gas money since she went and picked it up for me). I paid for the entire cost of my meal myself, with my personal funds.

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

That sounds like some excellent lunches. I may have to go out this afternoon and have something similar. I may even declare it an official lunch in honor of American Perv, who will of course be donating a sizeable amount to the IMPA cause.

Everyone.... send them some money!!

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

whats the saying.. never assume.. you make and ass out of you.. and me? lol

All donations/contributions, regardless of size, are greatly appreciated and we would be happy to acknowledge anyone who wishes us to do so.
Expect a check from us tomorrow, will ask Eva what we can afford.

But I might use this as a promotion to sell and send you guys more money. I will include you in my affiliate program say 20% of all the sales off a banner on your site. Then 20% off all sales off a specific offer/promotion. Just thinking aloud and typing at the moment.

Will contact you to see if we can work something out.

But you can stick my name up on a list of guys that are fighting these cocksuckers. I'm immune here in CZ but my clients are not.

Haha, nice way to back peddle. The way you asked the question was very suggestive.
