I would join and fight for my country depending on the situation. For example during WWII I would have totaly joined and fought. That was a true good vs. evil fight with the fate of the world at stake.

The wars we've been in lately I'm middle of the road on... while I agree with them to a certain point at the same time I don't trust our leaders much and think politics and money have too much to do with todays wars.

I remember watching Band of Brothers and I don't remember exactly how the guy said it but those you who watched it will remember when they interviewed the actual men. The guy who talked about how in his small town, that there were 3 or 4 guys who killed themselves just because they weren't allowed to go and fight in the war.

It was a different time then and people don't see or realize and often credit what many men gave to make it so that you have what you have. Today this country is full of fuckups and people who are willing to capitalize on everyone else and live rich and fat but not willing if it all came right down to it, not willing to die fighting to keep their way of life for the people they love. That's just disgusting.

Tens of thousands chose to leave the country during the Vietnam era and fucking President Carter gave them a pardon allowing them to return....somthing that I would never have done.

Do a study about physical addiction to alcohol. Only about 10% of people that use alcohol become physically addicted and that is because their body processess alcohol differently then a normal body processes alcohol. Similar to most Asians cannot process dairy products...because they lack an enzyme...different physiological makeup.

There of course is a psychological dependence...which is different than physical dependence.

I drink almost daily to take my mind off of the "physical" pain that I suffer daily. I prefer to do that than take the drugs that are at my disposal...as they are powerful and are addictive. It is my descretion/concern and not yours.
