Amputate Your Head? Man with head cut off drives to hospital

That's the story to the link above. Dude had his head severed and drove 30k to nearest hospital.

It's not the first time I've read a story about this happening. Back in '85 at my newspaper we got a bulletin that a man with a chainsaw had accidently cut his head almost off with only one artery and his spine holding his head together. He also drove 20 miles to the hospital and lived. They ran pictures of him for years.

I think his name was 'Forthman' . I'll try to dig up a pic

The one doctor told him to leave and then the second place he went to turned him away....Unreal!
