Please explain to me

How these new Mastercard rules will help stop or reduce charge backs ?

I have read and re read the stuff sent out by CCBill and all i see is a cluster fuck. I understand the processors didn't make these new rules, but come on guys why would i allow my traffic to be used to increase other sites sales without payment to me ?

Maybe i am missing something so please enlighten me. The big problem is supposedly charge backs and this nor any other measure taken in the last 6 months dose anything to address the main issue. This is only my opinion and i am willing to listen to anyone who can tell me why these latest rules are a good thing relevant to online charge backs or fraud ?

Thanks
Cindy xx

The business model based on pulling as much money as possible out of the surfer w/o consideration of the CB ratio is a thing of the past is all. Not only will other ways to do business be found, they'll probably be better.

The sky isn't falling, it's just a passing cloud.

Cindy i agree with your thinking, this dose nothing to stop charge backs, in fact i feel it will make them much worse. The web is a confusing place at the best of times and Mastercards new nonsensical rules will on confuse matter even more.

I wish these Visa and Mastercard morons would find some way to help webmasters in and out of the adult industry to curtail fraud on the web instead of making matter worse!!

I think the only purpose behind the new MasterCard rules is to make it as painful as possible to do business under the IPSP model, so as to drive people to get their own merchant account. These new rules won't stop chargebacks. Mastercard is merely showing that they can make us jump through hoops any time they want.
