Linux Users Are Thieves and Criminals

SCO: Buy License, Avoid Suit
http://www.wired.com/news/business/0,1367,59701,00.html

The SCO Group said Monday it is offering commercial Linux users a license that will protect them from forthcoming legal action by the software maker.

The company also said in a statement that all commercial Linux users are software pirates.

"Since the year 2001 commercial Linux customers have been purchasing and receiving software that includes misappropriated Unix software owned by SCO," said Chris Sontag, SCO senior vice president.

"While using pirated software is copyright infringement, our first choice in helping Linux customers is to give them an option that will not disrupt their IT infrastructures. We intend to provide them with choices to help them run Linux in a legal and fully paid-for way."

The ultiamte language is OPEN source. Not a prayer in the world for LINUX to become United. Things built for Linux for the most part are contributory or realised as contributary to the Open source movement.
If your a commercial software maker trying to make commercial based linux applications your gonna loose.

haha, they are going to charge more than a Microsoft OS.

That's going to be funny.

Goodbye Open Source.

No way man...
Linux is like water, it slips through hands legally. THis company is alienating itself for invading an Open SOurce movement then encircling it with a "Copyright".

The Open Sources will do what open source does best.

Create a work around and cut that company outah the movement.

SCO cut there nuts off.

Right now there are prolly a ton of Unix programmers laughing there asses off and already know what they are gonna do about this.
