    Acacia patent: What seems to be the fucking problem?

    It would seem to me that it should be a fairly simple task for the patent office to open a few files, and find out if they have a fucking claim or not.... ?

    And let's just suppose for a minute that they actually DO have the patent on this shit.... why are they just now beginning to fight for it?

    smells like bullshit to me.

                              They do have the patents,

                              go to Acacia, and click the numbers to read the actual details of the patents from the patent office (also check out some of those other fucked up patents).

                              Acacia didn't actually get the patents themselves, in 2001 they bought a company that originally had the patents, and the "ownership" transfered over to Acacia.

                              Fucking Acacia.
