first person content shoots

i've seen the topic batted around here more than once but i think a consolidated opinion would be nice.

i have garnered a bunch of interested, first-time talent here locally (my wife and i are pretty fresh out of high school, etc. etc.) and am seriously considering shooting some content here in the near future. i'm fairly good at shooting photographs and movies (somewhat of an amateur hobby) as far as lighting and all of those particulars are concerned.

i want to do some first person shoots with some kind of male model but i'm married and my wife and i aren't swingers so i obviously am out of the question. i guess i am not understanding what is professionally acceptable in this business regarding content produced in this manner. some have said its unethical, others have said its perfectly fine - what's the mean consensus on this topic?

If you are out of the question, and I presume your woman is out of the question, then it is not a first person shoot. You are just filming others.

well, i want to kind of instruct whatever male i'm using to be shooting the content for a reality-style shoot.

the dillema i'm having is that i know as a content provider, you need to walk on eggshells in the interest of professionalism; i am by no means a max hardcore or anything so what kinds of lines in the sand are drawn as far as what can be done in the interest of content from that standpoint.

I don't see what the problem is with the actor holding the cam. "Eww it's unprofessional." How? The guy is getting fucked for money regardless of whether he's just an actor or if he's holding the camera while acting.

It's not just a ploy to get some sucky sucky. He'd get it either way. Big deal.

Ok you want to hire a male who will perform and act as cameraman? Then you wish to direct?

Your still a director, and so what if your actor or actress is holding the camera. Peoples problem with many POV shoots is that they are in the simplest terms paying someone to suck or fuck them while they film it.

Does border prostitution, its a fucking fine ass grey line that they can hop back and forth between at the DA's whim. Though just hiring a couple to fuck in front of you, is basicly just pandering.

pov (point of view) is tough to shoot if you are in the action and holding the camera..best to hire an actor/actress and keep the camera over the guys shoulder like it is him doing the scene.

Problems are: finding a guy that can talk through the scene, keep it up, and cum and on cue...good luck we've been through hundreds of guys and only have 4-5 that can do the job

yea - that may be the way to go as well.

i wish i wasn't married or i'd do the shit myself to avoid the headache. oh - the things we do for marriage.

i think my biggest obstacle will be finding the male models that are pro enough to understand it's still a job and you have shit to do.
