How can surfers help the problem with ACACIA?

    How can surfers help the problem with ACACIA?

    Paysites, free sites, TGPs, TGP2s, former AVS sites, pic posts, picture galleries, movie galleries, paysite review sites, and top lists are viewed by millions of people every day. Don't you think these people are going to be pretty pissed off if hundreds, and thousands, of porn/music/entertainment sites are forced to shut down due to ACACIA?

    Can't these millions of people somehow be used to help "the cause"? Whether it be asking for donations to fight ACACIA, or even just keeping them up to date on the situation and letting them know the problems the Internet is currently facing.

    Throughout the various ACACIA threads, many people have been "hoping" the media would get involved. Well hello boys and girls, we're a part of the media. Digital media. Why not use that? Why not inform the masses? We're fucking webmasters that have access to millions of people that do not want to lose Internet audio or video. Shouldn't we be spreading the news?

    I haven't checked out the donation site yet but am going to in a minute. Surely we could link to this site from our porn sites and contact music and other entertainment sites for links as well. If the donation site isn't suitable for "surfers", we could easily put up a site that is suitable.

    Whacha think?

                      Someone please make up an eye-catching page for short-attentioned surfers that gets the necessary info across (ie: this company is going to make us all stop giving you videos).

                      The guys fighting acacia can upload it on their server rather than that white w/ text page they've got, and we can start directing surfers there.
                      Hell, we could put it on an exit pop, even.

                          Anyway, I don't have much traffic but I'm going to put up some links anyway. You guys do what you want. If this goes down, the bad way, a lot of sites are going to be dropping off the face of the Internet. Don't know about you, but I'm not real crazy about that.

                          Who will buy hosting? Content? Gallery listings? Designs? Traffic?

                          It all ties together. One extra link isn't going to kill your sites.

                                                              People here obviously want the media involved. Why? What information would the media spew out? We can do decent damage too, what information should be given?
