Its easily doable. Only problem is...the latest versions of WinMP has URL switching turned OFF by default so you can't pop a winow in wmv files anymore.

You'll want to look for Windows Media 7 Resource Kit... However, pimplink is right it won't work on the new windows media player unless the user turns the option on.
I had good success using this on kazaa, because it seems to work with the kazaa media player |
