You know what's really funny? If you hadn't of tried to live it up for all those months in your $1300/month apartment, you'd actually have been able to afford to square all of your debts long ago. But really, i still don't think you would have.

When you broker a design, this is what should happen. The client gives you the money. The very first thing you should do is give the designer his cut. Straight away. You should eliminate any and every chance you have of spending that money, losing that money, having it stolen, or just doing something fucking stupid with it. Why? Because it's not your money.

Why didn't you just give him the money when Techie Media and PR Bucks paid for their designs? Because you're a thief, that's why, and i believe you'd have stolen the money regardless of how you were living.

I have no business connection with chodadog other than the standing promise of a scotch and coke if we meet up given he is almost local. We shoot the shit from time to time on icq, and besides teenangel and cdsmith is probably the only person i've told about this situation. Maybe he's getting angry on my behalf out of annoyance that im not tearing you a new asshole like I probably should be.
Teenangel is hopeful this situation will be resolved, as am I.
Given there is communication now for the first time in half a year I will say this - after teenangel has been paid you will come to some arrangement for the debt that is owed to me. I do not care how small it is even $5 a week. I will post quarterly reciepts for donations to a local charity until the debt is cleared and your name on this board is once again clean, clear and professional and your threads aren't shitfights.
You seem like a nice guy, but unfortunately you have given me no reason to believe this is anything other than either a conman's facade or desperation. You have forced me into this conclusion through your actions, unfortunately I can make no other judgement. I would be glad to for this to be remedied and for it not to be the case.

:) it's all good - it's more about the principle.. it'll go to kids with cancer or something. I was screwed for a lot more in an unrelated business matter at the same time as this went down, made it look a little trivial - to be honest im more interested in seeing the other people get their cash first, and afterwards alleviate the sense that someone got away with fucking me in the ass... if money can go to cancer research at the same time then hey.. it's all been a positive experience in the end.

THAT is the absolute bottom line here. An incredible amount of conflict could have been avoided if this simple honest rule was adhered to.

I can not forsee this issue dying out until debts from brokers and former design brokers are paid in full. Keeping a regular small payment schedule is the minimum requirement, and as Teen Angel said earlier in this thread, the two that owe her have begun doing so.

I will continue to keep myself in check as long as those payments are being made.
